[Action]

[The Manor's picked up another new resident...And this one isn't really advertising his presence. He managed to avoid the trap of the Blackberry doing its usual accidental broadcasts in "greeting", and has taken advantage of the relative quiet to go exploring - yes, he's out at an ungodly hour of morning.]

[For those who're nocturnal, there's someone tall and probably unfamiliar in a long grey coat - with some kind of metal staff that he's using as a walking stick he clearly doesn't actually need; he's not really doing anything more suspicious than being quiet, on guard, and creeping through the hallway looking for clues. He's also got a slight uncanny valley thing going with a hypothetical 30-year-old Mukuro - just enough features in common to be noticeable, but not enough to be "you could be twins", and unlike his successor, both eyes happen to be the same blue and look normal.]

[Any night owls want to newbie greet?]

[the sad part is, as vaguely amusing as this is, he's honestly clueless, and that isn't really much of a clue whether it's mistaken identity or time shenanigans.]

[There's a funny glowing white spade mark in one eye, and just a slight shift in posture to something a little less languid.]

[Widening her stance, she felt a surge of adrenaline at the impending fight. Smirking cockily, she reached a hand back...only to have it close on air. ...fuck. Yes, that's a hint of worry entering her suddenly less cocky expression.]

[There's an indigo shimmer as the curved blade on the spear comes visible...]

[And then the lights go OUT as black seems to engulf the area they're both standing in, accompanied with a funny dropping sensation despite feet still being firmly on whatever passes for a floor.]

She held back her panic until the lights went out though. Taking a step back, she had to keep telling herself that she wouldn't be running this time. If she died, then so be it...

Raising her fists, she snarled into the darkness.]

[Well, there's what seems to be white playing card backs that appear circling the - relatively small area that're enough to provide a small amount of light...]

[F-f...fuck. Turning to face him, she was a little surprised at how little room there was. Gokudera was going to KILL her for getting into this situation again...if he didn't beat him to it.

[And there's a second image of him besides the one she's facing, perched up on a ledge that's grown out of the shadows that form the "walls" - the new one speaking this time.]

Call it a clue... the boy's clever but he's a touch on the blunt side.

You're free to try and make it back to the hallway, if you can.

[Giving a very un-ladylike snort, she shook her head. Really, she should have known that you'd pull this shit again.

Either way, she just moved closer to the illusions. If he wanted her to leave the circle, odds were, it was him that she'd heard.]

[And that's the one that had been behind her talking again, stepping aside to gesture at a part of the blackness on the edge of the circle, as whatever's skittering seems to move out of the way - might've almost seen it that time!]

If it's not real, then there's nothing between you and the hallway but a few illusions, and you should be free to leave anytime... Maybe come back when you're armed, or have learned to tell people apart.

[Still, she looked over at the opening, silently weighing her options. She could leave and come back armed, but that would be too easy...why would he just let her leave? ...Unless it was a trap.

[Hearing the blade cutting through the air, she quickly moves out of the way, narrowly missing being hit by the blade...of course this resulted in a less than graceful trip as mid-dodge, she noticed the shadows moving.

Catching herself before actually hitting the floor, she made a quick decision and made for the exit...only to come up short as she hit a wall.

DAMMIT! She knew better!

Pressing her back against the wall, she tried to keep her eyes on all of the known threats, her eyes likely resembling that of a caged animal]

I may not be that old, but I haven't lived this long by taking cheap shots and tricking my opponents.

[That skittering that'd been moving around down below? There's a moment where it's almost like some of the shadows lower to the ground lessen just enough for it to be visible that it's a large number of blade-legged spiders about the size of large dogs and small horses, and they're much less inclined right now to leave a clear path between the "wall" and where Spade is.]

Pity you didn't learn some discretion sooner.

[On the bright side, this whole game's hit "Not worth his time". ...Yes the "spiders" going into hostile-swarm mode is "better" than if he'd been invested enough to be seriously TRYING to traumatize her and not just get rid of an annoyance.~~No, he doesn't know she'll be back in a few days.~~]

[Hissing softly to herself, she pressed herself closer to the wall. Dammit, was that?

Oh hell, she wasn't scared of insects, but these?

Turning around, she started kicking the wall. Dammit! How does she get herself into these situations?!]

[The one on the ground disappears... and the one remaining? Almost looks bored.]

[The dimensional barrier wasn't going anywhere; the giant spiders, however, were going on the attack, and clearly had no problem with striking from behind, or in a swarm.]

[Worth his time...if she'd had her weapon, she'd be worth more than his time...

Focused on the barrier, she didn't pay him much mind...not until the first bite. Unable to keep from crying out at the bites that followed, she turned just enough to see him. If she was going to die here, she'd make sure that he watched.]

[It's been a hundred years, and he's been responsible for small atrocities all across that, including wiping out entire families. No, you're not going to impress him; this is a temporary short-term annoyance, not anything with any real impact.]

[And really, going for a swarm of spiders bigger than her WAS mostly to make it... relatively quick, in the sense that they're able to leave some pretty damn serious damage - honestly, not having gotten more than "get rid of the annoyance" was a GOOD thing.]
