Mary Winchester | 20 | [Video]
When the feed comes on, it shows a dark haired young man and a blond that may be familiar to some...sure, she's younger, but there's no mistaking the woman. Mary.
Even though it started where it did, it's easy to tell what he just asked by the ring he was holding. Just as she's about to answer him, and it's easy to tell that she'll say 'yes' by the smile on her face, they're interrupted by a banging on the car. Once the door's wrenched open, it becomes clear who's outside as they ask in an angry "What did I tell you?!"
Mary quickly becomes panicked. Her father had a temper and she wasn't sure what he would do when being presented with this scene. "Dad!" She didn't have time to get much more out before she was roughly grabbed and pulled from the vehicle. Seeing what was happening, the boy gets out and starts around the car. "Sir, just listen!" The boy had manners, but they would not be heard right now. Not when Mary's father was so determined to pull her away and not caring that he was likely bruising his daughter in his efforts.
A brisk "Stay away from her!" Was directed at the boy, even as Mary fought to get away. "Ow! Dad! You're hurting me!"
Clearly, this news did not sit well with the boy that so obviously loved her. Running over, he tried to pull Mary's father away. "Hey! Take it easy!" ...But unfortunately, that was all he got out before Mary's father gripped his head and snapped his neck, ending any protests he had.
"NO!" As the body fell, Mary fell to her knees to cradle his upper body in her lap. "...You killed him..."
After a moment, her father kneels down beside her. "Oh, not just John, sweetie pie. Mommy and daddy too." Whether this is figuratively or not, is left for interpretation. "No..." Her sorrow doesn't stop him though. "Yup, afraid so. You're little orphan Mary now."
His words let a little ire bleed through her emotions though. "You son of a bitch!" Pulling back, he seems a little surprised that she still has a spark of fire. "Oh, sticks and stones may break my bones, and they won't bring your family back either."
"...I'll kill you. I swear. To God." And by her tone, it's clear that she means it.
Raising a brow, her father takes a seat next to her. "Oh, let's not get nasty. Now look, we both said some things that we regret. Let's um...kiss and make up~."
Mary almost seems to stop breathing at his words. Seeing that she's not budging, he adds in something that he knows she can't resist. "I'll tell you what, I'll arrange to have lover boy here brought back breathing."
She truly looks like a lost child when he offers that. "My parents too?"
Sighing, he leans back a little. "Nope! Sorry doll, that's not on the table. But think about it, you could be done with hunting forever. The white picket fence, station wagon, couple of kids, no more monsters or fear, I'll make sure of it."
Finally turning to look at him, it's clear that she's so damned close to just accepting his offer with no question. At least until she thinks about it for a second. "What? And all it costs is my soul?" She doesn't question his ability to do this, but perhaps her father is magic?
Smirking, he looks off to the side. "Oh, no. You can keep your soul, I just need permission."
Looking back at her expectantly, her voice comes out in a soft whimper. "For what?"
Thinking about it for a second, he swings out a ballpark answer. "Mmm, ten years I need to swing by your house for a little something, that's all." No other explanation is offered.
"For What!?" Her voice is tight with emotion.
His voice comes out perhaps harsher than he intended. "Relax, as long as I'm not interrupted, nobody gets hurt, I promise." A pause. "Or you can spend the rest of your life, desperate and alone.
Mary? It's a good deal, so what do you say?"
...She needs no other prompting. Leaning over she kisses him, not resisting as he only deepens it.
There's no telling how much further it went though, the device chose that moment to switch back to the current time...and with that time, came Mary's horrified face.
"...n-no..." The whole manor had seen...they had seen the one thing in her life that she truly regretted. Turning off the phone before it did more damage, she could only hope that no one had been paying attention.

He bit his lip and thought on it for a moment. He obviously didn't have a damn clue what was going on after, but... well, one orphan to another he supposed. Even if he had become one more-or-less by choice.]
...At least you got to know them both. [He looked off to the side awkwardly, his brows creased together, and his usual scowl still on his face- but he was trying.] They musta been nice for you to come out like you did...

Wiping her eyes, she curled up tighter in a dark corner. It was funny, she never understood Samuels reasons when she was younger, but now..she knew why he forced her to learn so much about hunting. It was just to keep her safe since he knew what was out there...for all the good that it did her in the end.]
They were the best...My dad may have had his problems, but he still loved me and was just doing what he thought was best.
no subject
Well you had that then... and you got married and all that shit too right? So it all ended up fine... even if they died and all that.
[Of course that came out terribly rude, but unfortunately comforting isn't something he's used to doing. Best coping mechanism he knows is to pretend the problem isn't really a problem and act like it doesn't exist. Clearly it's done wonders for him.]

[She knew it was her fault. Her children lived a horrible life because of what she did. All because she was terrified of being alone and not having anyone.]

[He knew he had a rough time of it, but he was okay with having to go through what he did if his survival made his mother happy. Well, obviously not happy since she was dead... but if she weren't.]

[He sighed.]
But I did... I mean... I coulda stayed with my old man... or gone back, become a pianist or somethin' like she would have wanted- but I didn't. Shit just happens I guess.

They lived my life...a life of pain and fear.

[He leaned back and sighed, tilting his head so he could just look up at the ceiling]
I wouldn't want my mother to think like that. It ain't her fault what happened.
...
You're kid's still a dick though, and I still hope the asshole gets punched in the face.
[A required addition when trying to be civil. Can't have you thinking he's a good person or anything
like he's already kind of given away horribly.]no subject
[She swallowed hard. This was hard to talk about, even now. But especially since it was no longer private.]
It was bad enough he was in my fathers body...but he took my youngest son in payment. If I hadn't done that...
[She couldn't help a scolding look at the comment made about Dean though. Dick or not, he was still her baby.]
As long as he's brought back, I don't care.
no subject
You didn't know though, did you? I mean, he didn't say nothin' about it. I mean, yeah, that was a totally dumbshit thing to do... but people do dumbshit.
[And he is trying to bite his tongue so hard about this 'devil' stuff... occult nerding is probably not something he should be doing now.]
I mean... I've [He paused to swallow a lump in his throat... he hated going to this topic... but if it would get her to just lighten the fuck up already...] killed people for less assurance that I would get anything out of it than that.
no subject
...From what I understand, I tried to stop it from happening. Tried to make him leave my baby alone...I was useless in the end though. The things he did to me and mine...no one should ever go through something like that.
[Wiping her eyes, she shook her head.]
We're more alike than you know, Hayato. It's one reason why I can't leave you alone. I see so much of myself in you...
no subject
[He sighs and looks off to the side, unwilling to look her in the eye as he speaks the next part. It was easier to say when he pretended he didn't have an audience.]
I don't know what I'd do... I always just kept going because I thought she'd want me to keep living...
[If his mother had thought that he was better off never being born, then all the hardship and struggles he had gone through so her death wasn't in vain would have been for nothing. It would have meant that he should have given up and just died... that it wasn't worth fighting to live anymore.]
tch! [He turns his head off to the side in a huff.] I told you a million times, I got this far alone, I don't need anyone.
[He says that, but his tone lacks it's usual sharp bite to it.]
no subject
Even my husband...how could he truly love me if he didn't know what I was? The things that I've done in my life...
[The things that she's killed. The worst was the children...even if they were monsters, it chilled her blood to know that she'd killed children that hadn't even really had a chance at life yet.]
We all need someone Gokudera. I used to be like you, used to think the same way...how could I leave you alone when I know better now?
Even if you hurt me, I won't stop. I'll always try to take care of you.
no subject
You're not making a damn bit of sense. You say you wish your kids weren't born so they wouldn't have to go through all that shit, then you go on hangin' off me like I'm some sort of fuckin' 'golden child'! What the hell makes me so different than your stupid kids then?! I went through shit too!
So what?! Should I not have been born either because of the shit I would have to go through?! Should I have just rolled over and died on the street?! Or do you want me cursin' the only person that cared--that I thought cared-- because I was born?!
[While he knew it wasn't her intention, her words hit him in a big weak-spot. The only reason he had struggled to live so hard was for the sake of his mother. What if she had thought the same way? That he regretted his birth? Or what if she would if she knew how he turned out? He just wanted to try and do right by her... what if she thought he was better off dying too?
Then... just what the hell had he been fighting for all these years?]
[Shit, this was getting to be too much. He tried. He really had. But he fucked it up and got hurt instead- again. Why the fuck did he even try? He'd never do it right anyway. Just like with how Ryuutaro had been, and just like with Mary now. Why did he even bother? He couldn't have friends- he shouldn't have friends. He'd either just hurt them or get hurt himself.]
TCH! this is why I hate people!
[And before he completely loses his composure he shuts off the feed. He'd just try to... sleep this off or something.]
