[Lana stares for a moment.] I admire your effort in all of this. I've only been asking questions, but I'm getting the same answers so I'm not really getting anywhere. Is there anything I could help you with?

[Lana takes a moment to realize how fast she does in fact read.] At a reasonable speed. Faster than normal, I think.

[Mello nods. He wonders if that's good enough. Like the good little trained Wammy Kid that he is, Mello can clear one of these books in under an hour. Maybe two hours for the really thick ones.]

Come to the library, I'll see if it's good enough.

If we weren't captives here I'd say it was a nice place. Never seen so many books in one place before. Means they've got money or power whoever "they" are.

Yeah, prep school I went to had a pretty big library, this blows that out of the water. Honestly there's "rich" libraries and then there's...just come and see.

Yes, I do agree that there is something amiss in this place though the answer to your question could be simply a clue to what this week holds. Last week, people were able to leave the house and not the grounds. The week prior, the library was mainly in question though the house was searched. Perhaps this week holds another set of events to the obvious.

However, there is a firm chance that this is also a means to confuse us as well. I agree that we should work together.

That sounds about right. But we shouldn't waste our time guessing at this. A lot of us plan to figure out what's going on. The thing is, we don't know where to start or how to start off. Do you have any ideas?
