I couldn't think of anything better. I just wanted him to remember something to keep him alive, give him a reason to come home to me. [She already knew they'd be getting married. He loved her and didn't act like he just wanted in her pants...he was so sweet.]

It was pure luck...I was stupid and got too close. Dad gave it a headshot and dropped it before it could go for a second try. Mom kept pressure on it until dad could cauterize it. [She shivered a little at the memory.] Hospitals weren't really our things. Not unless there were no other options.
