1 Star ball || Piccolo [in person]

[ Piccolo grunted as he sat up from his place on the ground. Wait...He shouldn't be sleeping! He was supposed to be finishing off that little brat Goku! Could this be another trick by Kami?! Piccolo frantically looked at his surroundings. He didn't seem to be in any sort of bottle...or rice cooker for that matter. It was just a pretty regular looking room, it did seem deserted and in rather poor upkeep. Like that mattered to Piccolo. In a mindless fit of rage he sent a blast at an old bedside table completely annihilating it]

DAMMIT KAMI! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?! HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO ME! YOU'RE ONLY PROLONGING THE INEVITABLE! I WILL KILL THAT BOY AND TAKE MY PLACE AS RULER OF THE WORLD!

[Something didn't quite feel right, he could usually at least sense Kami regardless of being sealed away or transported or whatever trick he had done. Either way it did make him feel quite a bit better to get that off his chest, but no where near better enough. He then proceeded to storm out of the room pulling the door clean off it's hinges and then trowing it into a wall leaving a rather large crater and then blasting that into oblivion as well. He will probably continue his tantrum until someone or something distracts him]

Hey -

[Goes from surprised - because Piccolo was fast to be able to catch him. Anyone would normally have to be fast to catch him if he didn't want to be caught; that was every good thief for you - to annoyed. He wasn't ready to start beating up a guy after just getting here, but touching him was kind of overstepping some boundaries. Pretty ladies being the exception.]

What do you think I was trying to say in the first place? Of course there are others. You think a place this big would be deserted? Just try that communication device they left in your room. Now - give me my shirt back.

[And Zidane has had just about enough of lizard-man. Even Amarant wasn't this big of a jerk. Usually he's more patient, but nothing about this day has gone right and it's not helping. He does a simple side step maneuver and manages to free the fabric of his shirt from the man...pickle...thing and an eye blink later there's a long dagger pointed in Piccolo's direction. It would be right at the tip of his nose - if his opponent where his height. But he'll settle for the collarbone.]

"Normally." he said in a would be calm voice if not for the edge creeping into the tone. "People introduce themselves when they first meet. And until invited they don't invade anothers personal space. No offense, but you aren't my type. And they don't manhandle people trying to help them. Now why don't you behave like an adult and I'll tell you what's going on?"

[Strangely enough, the monkey boy is grinning.]

"I don't cave to bullies."

[While he's midway off the ground, he does a backwards flip and yanks his blade along with his momentum. (Damage is up to your on discretion.) He lands in a crouch and springs forward like like lightening - not leaving out a wide, parting swipe of his other blade. (Oh and Piccolo, you probably want to jump fast to avoid losing your legs or your cape. But either way he'll be running past you.)It was time to ditch this nut. Besides, the way the conversation was going, they weren't going to be friends.]

[That was the last thing he was expecting. He almost collided with the smoldering remains of the door at the end of the hallway. In fact that's exactly what would have happened except he kept running straight up the wall and landed in another neat flip that put him back on his feet. He whirled around. Another magic user like Kuja? ....why him? And where was Rusty's giant head when he needed it? It would be useful in cleaning this debri. He needed to be cautious. This guy was a prime example of raw strength in the hands of the wrong person. Not that his pride would let him give up. And not that he ever really thought he could out-brawn a guy that size. So he'd have to be more clever. It was the only chance he had.]

"Zidane."

[Well he finally got an introduction out of the guy at least. He tried to keep his body from tensing. It was never smart in a fight. He kept his defensive posture. He thought this guy was just a thug. But now it was apparent that he couldn't be totally sure what this guy was capable of. He probably wasn't even human. Though technically, he had no room to talk there either. Neither was he.]

[Well that a change of gears. Not one he'd complain about though. Maybe something had gotten through that big green skull. He didn't change his stance, but he decided to answer.]

"Well I warned you in advance it would be hard to believe: apparently we're all trapped inside a book. The 'Author' was having trouble with the telling of her little story so she dragged people from all kinds of different places to fill the blanks. In other words, instead of being a captive audience, we're a captive cast. That, at least, is consistent with what everyone tells me.

I'm guessing, that this Author is has to be very skilled with magic to pull this off. At least, that's the only explanation that would have made sense where I come from. Then again, for all we know this is all an illusion. Who knows what a skilled sorceress could pull off if they got bored enough?"

[He can't be blamed for that - Zidane isn't really pleased with this whole development either. His tail gives a brief flick of irritation.]

There's got to be. And anyway, it's one of my hobbies to get in and out of places. And I only had the chance to speak to a few people. It's only my second day in this place. But I'll get out. There are people I have to make it home to.

[That makes day two that his friends at home are probably spinning their wheels over what happened to him. He feels a pang of regret. But at least Kuja is trapped here too. ]

<ooc: oh Piccolo....you poor dear. Not used to being thwarted in any way. lol

[He blinked. Now the guy was being all helpful? Well, well....maybe not a complete jerk. Still a jerk of course.]

"I have the excess energy." he replied. "But um...thanks. I think."

[Since the advise is constructive, he'll make an effort to swallow it.]

"You should really try talking to people without grabbing them or trying to blow them up." the thief offered with a grin. "It would save time and yield more information. You can get what you want without using force."
