[Anyone who's been paying attention to Shiki over the past few days will notice he's become gradually more and more twitchy and tense. Some would put it down to pre-battle stress.  That's partly it, but it's something that runs a little deeper. Something much closer to home. Something much more raw causing anxiety. So, he subtly excuses himself, saying he's checking on something within the woods - just an area check to make sure there's no Kishin.

Once out of sight, within a clearing in the woods, that's when everything kicks off.  With a frustrated yell he kicks one of the trees. Lashing out at anything within his sight, yelling as he does. Raking his hands through his hair.
'Not again. I'm not losing an entire squad again. I refuse to have that responsibility resting on my shoulders!'

Again and again he begins hitting just one tree, sure he's taking chips from the bark but his gloves are becoming worn, knuckles warming. He knows he's split the skin but even so he just keeps beating the living daylights into the damn thing. Seemingly never tiring.

Eventually he stops punching, slumping down by the stump of the tree. His knees tucked up to his chest, momentarily curled up at least. He stretches out and sighs, clenching and unclenching his fist, wincing as he does. It might not have been the best idea especially when he clarifies he's quite severely torn the skin on his knuckles. Not the best idea he's ever had..

Soon enough he'd clear his head. But this seems.. too much like when he fought against the Nicole:Premier. The odds almost as bad as they were now. He was the only one who survived. He wasn't prepared for that again, he was nearly broken the last time. Why? Was this just something the Author was doing on purpose? Was she trying to push all the wrong buttons?]

..Shit..

[Not keen on just sitting and waiting for the fight to happen (that and his nerves were preventing him from sleeping) D'eon decided that the middle of the night was a good of a time as any to wander off into the night to practice his fencing. Taking a small lantern he found a nice mostly secluded area where he didn't run the risk of waking up any of the other members of the manor. Placing the lantern carefully on the ground he drew his sword and began going through the basic movements of fencing.

He was fully aware that Lia would more than likely take over for the duration of the fight for the manor, but he wanted to be able to hold her off for as long as he could. It had been a while since he had to really use his sword and he found himself a bit clumsy with it at first. However, it didn't take long for the the movements to come back to him. Despite his intense focus on his exercise, D'eon didn't drop his vigilance of his surroundings.

[Ichabod knew that he wasn't a fighter and with Elizabeth as his weapon, she was needed here as a tactician and he was needed for his medical knowledge even if it was antiquated. It was a learning experience and at least he was able to keep the peace.

He stood up on one of the logs and called out to the crowd just outside the tent he set up.]

I need those that have volunteered their aid to help with the field clinic to come. There is much to discuss.

[Right now, he needed to form a plan for triage and a set cycle of treatment. This was going to take a lot of energy and being a field medic's aid when he was 15 certainly helped.]

[She heard her name...or one of many...being brought up in conversation as she perched on the roof. She lifted her head and looked at the camp to catch sight of someone familiar to her.

Sable slowly climbed down and slinks through the dark and behind Saguru. She gave a quick nudge with her nose on the small of his back along with a determined expression. She was ready to fight and she could feel the tension and anticipation rising around her.]

[Robin is just sat by the lake, enjoying a little peace and quiet before the events due to go down early the next day. She'd been training, she'd helped where ever she'd been welcome; and now, all there was to do was wait. She wasn't nervous about fighting, not in the slightest. She would rather not if necessary - but it was this tme around, so she was going to do so until they'd won]

I still don't like the idea of actually having to destroy what were once people's souls just to save a talking rabbit. Killing them is fine if you let the soul be able to rest, but by eating them you're destroying not only their soul, but most likely the ones they ate themselves.

I don't know about you lot personally, but I'm not one to destroy innocent souls that can't control what happened to them and have that on my conscience for the rest of my life. I will fight, but I'll leave the souls intact to be able to move on. I thought I'll let the people involved know that this is what I'm planning and tell you to leave those ones alone. They should be left to rest, not to end up being someone's food.
