{Third Case, Third Observation} A storm is coming.

[Ichabod is wearing his magnifying goggles and has spotted a storm off in the distance. He is now out and running to find as many people as he can to gather what then need to bring before the storm hits the tiny island.]

Everyone, I need to have your attention. There is a storm coming and it may be here during the night. I suggest that we gather what we need and find shelter at the volcano.

[He knows that sounds like a very poor set of odds but it was certainly better than being washed away or blown away when the storm hits during their sleep.]

Tropical storms are generally noticable at least a day or so before they hit.

Although, I must agree; how will the volcano help..? I'm assuming you know whether or not it's dormant or not...

Would you rather take your chances being swept out to sea in a tent or move to a place that is at least stable enough to endure the storm? Either way, picking the lesser of the two evils is the best option we have unless we take the boats out to weather the storm and risk being lost to starvation and being completely lost at sea.

I must admit I'm somehwat dubious about hiding in a volcano, even if it would be safer it seems a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Dying however does not sound appealing in the least. I've heard people mention the Onsen baths, would that not be better as it is at least a safer structure?

We know nothing about this Island so whether the volcano is active or not is yet to be seen and I'd really rather not risk the lives of everyone here for such a gamble.

And the baths are much better? There is not much room to stand in the baths unless one stands in the water. There is also the possibility of flooding and the bath could drift to sea since it is a structure not grounded by foundation, thus the walls could collapse. There is no real "safe" structure anywhere.
