[The feed clicks on to reveal Light Yagami in his room, staring in disbelief in the mirror at his now significantly younger self. His eyes continually flick back and forth between his reflection and his much smaller hands; his glare-- one that is extremely out of place on his eight year old face-- is piercing enough that it seems he could incinerate the glass. A minute passes, before finally his expression becomes one of exasperation.]
...Finally out of ideas are you? [A dry laugh.] You're becoming frighteningly redundant you know. If you're so bored that you're repeating ideas left and right, how about you just send me home? And if you even think about sending me back like this, I'll-- [He pauses mid-tirade as a thought occurs to him. ...And unfortunately.]
-Oh for the love of Go- [A hand reaches out for his Blackberry and the feed is cut prematurely.]
[When the feed is turned back on, Light is seen sitting in the Parlor. If he seems almost tranquil about being reverted to a child, it may have something to do with the fit he had finished throwing in the privacy of his room. In contrast to earlier, he is perfectly calm and collected. There is even the hint of a smile.]
To the other residents of the Manor, I don't know how you feel about this, but I for one am tired of the Author treating us as though we have no agency of our own. We may be children this week, but that does not mean we can't coalesce and organize ourselves in a more sensible manner. I'd like to speak to anyone else who is interested in this endeavor. Thank you.

-Half an hour later-

Personally, I think it's interesting. I can do things like this that I couldn't as an adult. The upside, my body isn't craving getting fucked every day. You know how annoying masturbation gets?
[Sheldon's tossing a knife at a table and picks it up repeatedly, leaving gouges on the table top.]

Enjoy the reprieve, Sands. I personally liked being my age. But think about it. Reverting us back to children not once, but twice? Could be interpreted as symbolism. She might have started going to writing class and decided to incorporate some actual literary technique in her writing. Then again, I'll admit I may be looking for more reasons to hate the stupid girl. I won't lie about that.

[He snaps his fingers.]
Darn. Anyway, you may be on to something there but I don't see any immediate results, if I was a moron. Or another side of the coin, she could be figuring out our backgrounds. How glaringly obvious is by turning us into kids. Can't hide culture there, right?

Whatever her latest plan is, I'm certain it spells out nothing pleasant which is why, we ought to do something to get her attention. Force her to communicate with more of us. That's what went wrong last time, I think. L never did plan as far ahead as... well, I do.

holy crap this is so late, I am so ashamed.
Nah, it's cool. I've been pretty late on tags myself lately.
[in person]
Oh would you look at that, bowlhead hasn't changed his hair since he was a snot nosed little runt. Tch, who would have ever guessed.
[in person]
Look at who showed up in the Manor after all. If you wanted to be my boyfriend so badly, all you had to do was ask. No need to stalk me all the way from Italy.
Re: [in person]
Sorry I don't date girls like you.
[Well this guy totally had this coming. Gokudera slips out one of his sticks of dynamite, spitting on the midpoint of the fuse to wet it so it wouldn't actually go off. Then he holds the dry end up to his cigarette, lighting it and tosses it over to the bowlhead's lap]
Hey Shirley I got something to fix your hair.

Funny. Stupid brats aren't my type either, so I'd say the feeling is mutual: I don't date girls like you.

And here I was thinking you couldn't get any tinier.

Are you really one to be talking about being tiny?

I'm noticing that you're much more talkative in the absence of rice cookers.

Well, well, looks like we might be on the same page.
Did you have anything specific in mind? [He's going to put out his call for a meeting either way, but...]

....
All that I know of contacting the Author involves the rabbit.

... I see. We'll need a guaranteed method of catching her attention. How did L manage it?

This week must be pleasant for you at least.
[Private]
Even if it's only temporary it's still a pain. If it's like my situation you didn't just shrink- you're stuck in the body of a child, which means you need more sleep than normal, you can't run as far without losing breath and you're no where near as strong as you once were. It's a lot to get used too.
[Private]
[Normally being 5'10, Light had forgotten how annoying it was being short again. He was beginning to appreciate Conan's predicament.]
How'd you transition?

I for one never had much fun as a child, oppressive upper class family and all that - this seems like a lovely opportunity to just let go for a while and embrace the inner child.
Why don't you just for a few days?
no subject
Perhaps. [He holds out his hand.] I don't believe we've met. May I ask your name?
no subject
Mrs. Lucy Saxon, pleased to meet you.
And you are?

[He can't quite keep a smile off his face as he says this. Never mind the fact that Light knows perfectly well that this week the Author had made everyone become children, it's.. just an oddity to think about calling a child 'Mrs' anything.]
