1st Order ] Claudia Wolf [ Video

[The pale blonde woman sat up abruptly. Something was wrong. For starters, her normal pile of animal furs she used as a bed was nowhere in sight. Second, this was not her church. Light sifted in through the window curtains and she held up her hand to shield her eyes from it. She was unaccustomed to brightness. Slowly she slid off the bed, her bare feet tapping the cold floor. She knelt before her bed and folded her hands in prayer.]

Divine mother, if this be your will to transport me to a place of sin, I will not cross you. If by some mysterious circumstances this be the doing of another, please give me the strength to persevere and do your work for as long as I am away from you. Glory be to thy name and grace us with your divine love continually ever more.

[Her prayer finished, Claudia stood, pushed her hair behind her ears and stretched her hands skyward. Bones in her neck, back and shoulders popped as if she had not moved in quite some time. She put her hand behind her neck, rubbing softly working her way up to her smooth forehead. It was going to be a long day. She sighed tiredly and sat back down on the bed. It did not occur to her to try the door as so little of them were operable back in the church.]

What to do now?

[He shakes his head.]

No, not the Devil. It's just a nickname I give the Author. We're in a story she's writing.

Yeah, pretty much. Wanna press the metaphorical panic button?

[Grimacing he nods. Oh good god. If the Author had a terrible sense of humour then lord knew if the Order's 'God' would listen.]

Whatever helps you through it. But you'll soon realise that the Author's got more of an influence than any God.
