Spell 2: Dear old Shiz? [Accidental audio/video]

This is absolutely ridiculous!

[Upon finding her closet filled with uniforms (Scroll down a little - http://www.squidoo.com/elphabacostumefromwicked) Elphaba is not happy. Having then been told she's expected to attend class, and having found a schedule attached to her door, she proceeds to rip it cleanly in half and discard the paper. The blackberry at this point is propped up on her desk, and shows the green witch opening the closet once again, and pushing the hung up uniforms to the side, eventually stopping when she see's what appears to be a formal dress. Carefully, and a little more calmly, she pulls it out and holds it up (http://media.onsugar.com/files/ons1/281/2817629/07_2009/a4/black-prom-dresses.jpg) She smirks at it, before hanging it back up, and closing the doors, before collapsing back on the bed]

At least they chose a colour I don't clash with...

[After a minute or so, she gets up, and pulls the Grimmerie off of her bedside table, opening it to a desired page. Also retrieving her notebook and quil, she mutters something and the feather floats next to her hand as instructed, as she continues to translate the contents of the book. She has no intention of going to class.]

[ getting off of the bed and picking up her blackberry, Elphaba raises an eyebrow at the unfamiliar face]

no, I'm not

Why not?

[He can't think of a good reason to randomly cut class. It's not like it's that big of a deal.]

I have no reason to go to 'class' - we're probably not even in a real school

[Shrug]

Are...you...skipping or something?

I guess you could say that.

Come on, it might be fun!

[She raises an eyebrow]

I'm sure, but I never particularly took to school. besides, I need to finish this [Gestures to the grimmerie]

What is that?

[She lifts the book into view of the video feed]

The Grimmerie - it's an ancient book of spells, and I happen to be the only person able to read it; but, I'm in the process of trying to translate it

Brilliant! Can I see it?

Sure [Holds up to the blackberry so that James can see it a little more clearly]

Er, I meant in person. If you don't mind.

Oh right - okay, well come over whenever

I'll be up in a bit then!

Alright then

[As soon as the feed finishes, she glances around her room - it wasn't exactly ready to see visitors - that being said, there was far too much 'stuff' spread around to be cleaned up in such a short space fo time. Besides, James was a young man - he was bound to be used to mess.]

[There's the knock]

Hullo?

[Hearing the knock, Elphaba gets to her feet and opens the door - Jame's will find that the room he's about to enter is rather dark, with paper and books piled and strewn around the room. The curtains are drawn, but some not all the way, allowing little snippets of light to come in]

[She looks at him for a moment]

You're taller than I imagined.

[James looks a bit taken aback by that. Sure they've only talked over the network but he was quite tall and dashing even on those tiny screens, wasn't he? Yes, he had to be. Honestly, in person, he realized that she -was- extremely attractive, color aside. Sure, he was in love with Lily Evans and always would be but he would still flirt, right?]

And you're even more beautiful than I imagined.

[Charming smile]

I have to ask, however, how tall did you think I was?

[Despite noticing his good looks and rather charming smile, Elphaba headed back into her room, trying not to let it 'get to her' - although she didn't usually let outside appearences bother her, there had only ever been one other guy she'd let sway her with a nice smile. Reminding herself of why James was there, she went to the bed and picked up the Grimmerie. Upon hearing his compliment, she turned back to him]

Don't try that with me - didn't your parents tell you it's bad to lie?

and as for your height..well, I couldn't really say for sure anyway - I've only ever seen your face.

I would never lie to a lady.

[Oh that smile. Then he peers inquisitively at the book]

So what's the story behind the Grimm...Grimma..what did you say it was called?

[She holds it out to him]

The Grimmerie - It's an ancient book of spells from my home, although I'm the only one who can read it.

[She nods towards the notebook on her bed]

I'm in the process of translating it, but it's going to take a while - careful, it's pretty heavy

[James begins to flip through it supporting it with one knee and arm, clearly he can't read it at all.]

Mind if I look at the translation?

[She steps towards the bed and picks up the much lighter notebook, trading it for the Grimmerie, holding the leather bound book in her arms]

I'm not even half way through yet, but I figure it's only a matter of time - besides, some of the spells in there are incredibly potent. In a way, I suppose it's a good thing no one can read it.
