Diamond 9: Emma Frost [Mental broadcast]
[Emma's sending out a psychic message directly into the minds of anyone nearby who might be paying attention.]
I doubt anyone knows where the hell we are, but that's not important. What matters is that we stick together and survive. If you hear this, follow the signal to me. We can figure out a plan in person.
[She waits to see if anyone returns her message or comes to find her. She kneels on the ground, hands resting on her knees, and waits.]

I heard you, White Queen. I don't recognize this place unfortunately but I do have an idea of what we can use. I'll try to build a shelter from the wreckage.
[In a big way, he feels like this is his fault.]
no subject
[She senses his guilt and worry, but she decides not to comment on it.]
[Emma Psychic Network]
[He could "feel" the link being established and as if by instinct, he picked up on it and decided that it was far better than using his voice and it was private.]
I can't sense her either.
[It could be the guilt that has blocked her from him but he can't be too sure of that either otherwise he wouldn't be able to talk to Emma this way.]
[Emma Psychic Network]
[Emma Psychic Network]
[It was hard to just simply move on but knowing that she was at least okay would have made it easier for him. He didn't have that kind of certainty.]
I'll begin my part.
[At least with his work, he wouldn't feel so helpless. He had to push aside his feelings and strengthen his resolve or they would parish.]
[Emma Psychic Network]
[She can sense the emotions and feelings he's attached to the name. He has a strong bond with her, almost psychically empathic in nature. Interesting.]
Do you mind if I base my search on your memories of her? It might help me identify her more quickly.
[Emma Psychic Network]
Yes, you can use them. It's all I have left.
[His eyes closed as his mind opened. Years of knowing Roxanne and how he tormented her over those years were a painful reminder that he was once again lost without her. If she had died in the wreckage, he would never forgive himself.
His eyes opened, pleading.]
Please...help me find her.
[Emma Psychic Network]
[It's touching. Emma's reminded of Scott, suddenly, and she feels a twinge of guilt. She's been gone from Xavier's for so long now. What Scott must be going through right now...
She studies his memories of Roxanne and divines, as best she can, Roxanne's particular mental patterns. She widens the range of her search, seeking a match.]
[Emma Psychic Network]
Thank you.
[He does his own search and tries to find her physically as he begins work tearing down the ship.]
[Emma Psychic Network]
If you can hear this, Roxanne, there's someone looking for you.
[Emma Psychic Network]
I...anything?
[He felt like a part of him has died but he still wanted to continue is search.]
[Emma Psychic Network]
[Which most likely means she's not here, one way or another. Or perhaps she's unconscious, but that seems unlikely. Of course, Emma might have just missed her, but that doesn't seem likely...]
[Emma Psychic Network]
[He didn't want to give up but their survival depended upon a great deal of their ability to stay focused.
Reluctantly, he went about his work to build the shelter but it was more busy work than necessary. He really didn't feel all that hungry anymore. He was beyond his normal boundaries.]
no subject
Why should anyone trust you?
no subject
A question I'm often asked. I'm only looking for assistance. It would be best for all of our survival if we remained together.
no subject
no subject
Oh, there are plenty of dangerous people here, myself included. Cross me and I can be very dangerous. But I'm willing to overlook such things for now in favor of survival. We can worry about such matters of truth and lies when we're safe.
no subject
[Really, what's he supposed to think about this? As far as he's aware the telepath could be reading his thoughts as he has them. Which. Well. Not a problem. B has surprisingly little to hide.]
What is truth, and what is not truth is of utmost importance. Especially if it is a matter of survival. What guarantee do I have that you are true to your word if I know not your name or even what you look like?
[In other words, mysterious person. Show your face on the network.]
no subject
Well, are there any supplies or anything where you are? Maybe it'd be best if we all bring things?
[She begins to walk towards the signal, keeping an eye out for whatever she thought they could use to make camp]
no subject
[In person]
H-hello!
[She waves to the woman.]
Have you heard from anybody else?
[In person]
[This one doesn't seem very bright. Emma has her doubts.]
You must be new, dear. What's your name?
no subject
[She smiles brightly.]
I want to help in any way I can!
no subject
Very well. I know someone's busy constructing shelters. Perhaps you can help with that. We're also going to need food at some point.
no subject
...
[He's not going crazy, is he?]
no subject
no subject
A-ah, not crazy? That's...that's good, Pardner...
[Wait, is he supposed to speak or think? Is that how this sort of thing works? Or is it all in his head? Maybe he hit his head harder in the crash than he thought...]
no subject
It's alright, dear. You don't have to speak out loud. Just think. That will suffice.
Can you find your way to me? Just follow the signal. We can speak in person then.
no subject
What signal?
[Oh, crap. She just said not to talk, right?]
no subject
Can you tell where I'm broadcasting from? Just keep walking. You'll know when you get closer. I'm under a huge...well, I guess it's a tree.
no subject
Well, look at that. Guess I managed to find the trail here after all.
[Oh, hi, Emma. Jake's probably mentally having the same reaction every male has upon first seeing your costume, though outwardly he's betraying nothing.]
no subject
[She ignores his mental reaction to her costume. She's not only used to it, but gets a sort of satisfaction out of it.]
If we want to survive on this God-forsaken planet, we'll need a plan. Got any ideas? [She has a few of her own, but she wants to see if this newcomer's worth his salt.]
no subject
Well, I reckon the first thing we ought to do is set up camp somewhere 'round these parts.
no subject
no subject
...you don't really think that author would send us here to feed us to the buzzards, do you?
[...if there even are buzzards on this planet.]
no subject
no subject
[Jake smirks.]
I guess we can count on comin' back even if we do all die by the end of the week anyhow, right?
[That seems to be the messages he's been getting from most folks.]
no subject
[Emma Psychic Network]
[His mind is likely very cluttered and layered and confusing, but here, have an image of Emma and Jameson as seen from the ceiling by way of clarification.]
I...have some coats?
[Emma Psychic Network]
Yes, it's me. I'm broadcasting my thoughts directly into your mind. Don't worry.
Coats, you say. Well, better than nothing, though I'm not sure how they'll help us survive here.
[Emma Psychic Network]
I was in the coat closet when we crashed. It's actually pretty cozy in there! So...how do I tell which direction to go in to get to you?
[Emma Psychic Network]
Follow the mental signal. It's like following the sound of someone's voice. You'll know when you're getting closer.
[Emma Psychic Network]
Oh...kay...here goes nothing...
[His thoughts are going to alternate between 'Marco'/'Polo' and a very mashed-up version of 'The Ants Go Marching', you might want to disconnect. For your own sanity.]
[Emma Psychic Network]
Why on earth did that one have to come here?
