Diamond 9: Emma Frost [Mental broadcast]

[Emma's sending out a psychic message directly into the minds of anyone nearby who might be paying attention.]

I doubt anyone knows where the hell we are, but that's not important.  What matters is that we stick together and survive.  If you hear this, follow the signal to me.  We can figure out a plan in person.

[She waits to see if anyone returns her message or comes to find her.  She kneels on the ground, hands resting on her knees, and waits.]

[So there's someone poking about in his thoughts? Jake is highly uncomfortable, Emma. Just FYI.]

What signal?

[Oh, crap. She just said not to talk, right?]

[Jake nervously does as he's told, not really sure why, other than it doesn't seem as if there's a whole lot otherwise to do. And, despite his doubt and trepidations, he manages to follow said 'signal' to a certain blonde telepath.]

Well, look at that. Guess I managed to find the trail here after all.

[Oh, hi, Emma. Jake's probably mentally having the same reaction every male has upon first seeing your costume, though outwardly he's betraying nothing.]

[Jake can think of various wilderness survival or disaster scenarios that might apply to the situation at hand, but opts instead to produce his knife and look thoughtful.]

Well, I reckon the first thing we ought to do is set up camp somewhere 'round these parts.

[Jake hadn't considered the oxygen thing. As for food and water, he'd kinda hoped the author would provide. This may lead to a sense of worry in his mind, Emma.]

...you don't really think that author would send us here to feed us to the buzzards, do you?

[...if there even are buzzards on this planet.]

Suppose so.

[Jake smirks.]

I guess we can count on comin' back even if we do all die by the end of the week anyhow, right?

[That seems to be the messages he's been getting from most folks.]
