Please stop crying?
[Lenalee is looking a little worse for wear, hair a tangled mess and dark circles under her eyes. She can be seen cradling a wailing child with the same black hair as her, but brown eyes.]
Come on, use your words... are you hungry? Do you- ow! [The child stops crying long enough to gleefully yank at a lock of her hair. Lenalee covers his tiny fist with her hand, slowly prying off his fingers with a weary sigh.] No hair pulling.
[The toddler is placed on the ground once Lenalee gets her hair free, and she fixes him with a stern look.]
That isn't the way to get what you want. Use your words.
[There is a moment of silence as the child's lower lip wibbles, and then he is screaming again. Lenalee wavers for a moment before bending to pick him back up, bouncing him on her hip.]
Brother would know what to do with you. [He's the one with childcare experience. Although... the thought of him happening upon her holding a child at all resembling herself is worrying.] It's a good thing Brother isn't here, though...

[in person]
[She treads lightly on the subject, careful not to press anything too boldly. A smile, and she adds--]
I'd like to keep both of my eyes, thank you. I'll just have to learn the old fashioned way.
Re: [in person]
Uh-huh. They change my eye a lot.
[He giggles]
But this one is special! all I had to do was want all the bad men to die really hard and they did!
[He proudly holds his special trident out to her so she could look. Dried blood sat caked into the decorative parts of the weapon]
See?!
[in person]
It must be powerful.
[The thought occurs to her to take it from him, but she dismisses it just as quickly. Better to contain him here and concentrate on keeping him calm. From what Mukuro told her of the "bad men," Lenalee can't honestly say that she mourns them.]
Re: [in person]
It's because I'm powerful!
[He stands up and tucks the weapon into the waistband of his pants]
Are you powerful too?
[in person]
[She weighs the question carefully. Getting to her feet slowly, so as to not jostle the baby, Lenalee looks down at Mukuro. He has a clear sense of good and bad; that is a place to start.]
I was given a power, to protect people and destroy demons.
[Oversimplified and prettier than the reality of her Innocence, and the Order. But it's a good precedent to set.]
How do you use your power?
Re: [in person]
[Might want to rethink that whole "clear sense of good and bad" thing Lenalee dear]
Demon? what is a Demon?
[in person]
Akuma. In my world, when someone loses a loved one, the Millennium Earl will go to them and offer to bring that person back to life. But it's a trick; people cannot truly come back from the dead.
[She pauses for a moment, wondering how many details of the gruesome process she should tell the boy.]
The living person is killed and turned into an akuma, while the dead person's soul is trapped inside them. The Millennium Earl forces the akuma to kill people. My job as an Exorcist is to destroy akuma, and protect people from them.
Re: [in person]
[He smiles]
And you kill all the bad men! Will you kill the Millin... Mil... [oh god big word] Millinimun Earl too?
[in person]
Akuma aren't people. Destroying them sets their souls free.
[It's not as if Lenalee blanches at the idea of killing someone, if necessary. She has had enough people die indirectly because of her, and she knows that she would do whatever it took to protect her comrades. It is not a pleasant thought, but it is her reality.]
[The idea of killing the Millennium Earl herself is still a foreign one. Their only personal meeting had taken place when Lenalee was powerless and completely at his mercy, having to be saved by someone else. Though she is far stronger now than she was then, it is still hard to imagine taking him on herself.]
Millennium. Maybe. I doubt that I could do that alone, he is very powerful.
Re: [in person]
[He never learned the names of the ones he killed after all... He crawls over to Lenalee to sit next to her, then looks at the little track of hand and knee prints he made and starts to giggle. He presses his hand into the soft soil of the green house then lifts it up to find the handprint.
Dirt was officially the most amazing stuff ever.]
