[Well Badficians, here's to hoping you all had a good sleep, because it's about to get abruptly interrupted this fine morning, by the distinctive shouting of everyone's favorite bomb brat]

[and anyone in the second class lodging halls would be hard pressed not to notice the soaking wet teen running down the halls full speed in nothing but a very tiny towel, and a stick of dynamite in hand. Yup, right out of the shower and the infamous "Prince the Ripper" up and ran off with his clothes. This is going to be a good week.]

[And Hayato just stares at Ryuutaro in a similar vacant yet displeased ~~and totally priceless~~ expression. It takes him a few moments before he talks]

Well... looks like we aren't goin' to New York after all...

[And another pause]

....Can you swim?

[Ryuutaro nods slowly. Titanic... they should've expected it]

...I can.

[Not that he's trained in it or anything, because he refuses to wear swimming trunks, but still...]

I wonder how much time we have left...

[Hayato thinks for a moment]

Well the Titanic sinks at night... so we should be fine until then at least. I can't remember the exact time it went down though... probably best if we stayed up at night and sleep during the day until we can figure it out.

[Ryuutaro falls silent as well, sorting out his thoughts]

But the Author works on week-basis... it probably will not happen until a bit later this week, I suppose.

Also brings into question if this is a one week plot, or two week plot... so if it's a two week plot it might lead into something else, like with the space ship plot... Gimme a sec... I can figure this out.

[Hayato turns around, leaning against the railing and lighting up a cigarette. He's silent for a moment, then starts muttering to himself. Occasionally he opens his eyes and looks up, working something out on his fingers, maybe scratches his head in irritation when he messes up. After a few minutes he seems to have mostly worked things out.]

Alright, I think I got this. Like I said the best bet is that this plot will lead to another... like a deserted island, or maybe something aquatic? Since it used to be fairly common for her to do so, but over time it's become more gradual and spaced out, following that pattern she should be due for something along those lines any week now. That would probably mean that the ship will sink from anytime between Friday to Monday. There's also the possibility this is a one week plot, which means that most likely she's going to sink of Friday, but Wednesday and Thursday are also still pretty risky. The last possibility is that this will be laid out like the zombie plot... which would mean that the ship would sink on Monday, but she's only done that once, so percentage-wise it is the least likely of the three. If I had some paper I could work out the exact numbers, I would have to get all the plots and their duration, as well as how they ended. If I can try to calculate a pattern... and then I can write out the-

[He pauses for a moment when he realizes how much ~~of a nerd he's being~~ he's rambling]

Ah... sorry, you probably don't give a shit about all the numbers and stuff....

[And his eyes go wide in surprise. Usually people just gave him weird looks or outright ignored him when he started in on his theories. The only time it was really appreciated was during a fight.]

S-seriously? Well percentages and chance aren't really my best subjects, so I would need to try and figure out the formula by hand instead of just doing it in my head...

[Ryuutaro didn't know what about his appreciation was that shocking. In Beyblade-world it's a skill to be admired, even if this had nothing to do with blading]

It's amazing enough how far you get just in your head.

[It's compliments Ryuutaro. Honest compliments that he is not used to getting. He knew he was smart, he just wasn't used to other people positively acknowledging it.]

[You know... actually this is what makes Ryuutaro like complimenting you. He likes those reactions a whole lot. And you're really lucky that he's actually being honest with you. He's not exactly known for it...

[He smirks a little and looks up at the sky, exhaling the smoke from his cigarette]

A shame this thing couldn't have been goin' somewhere a little further south... but then it wouldn't have hit the iceberg... kill the entire point of the author puttin' us on it...

[Ryuutaro shakes his head a bit]

A horrible destination, but it's not as if we weren't used to it.

[He just wishes he could see it. Not even much.... just a bit... good... or bad... It felt horrible to not know much about things before they happened]

[Hayato looks over to his friend and nudges him a bit with his elbow]

Oi. Don't worry about it, we'll be fine.

I suppose you're right.

[Ryuutaro smiled a bit]

And this 'suppose' is bothering me, but that's nothing new.

There is no 'suppose', we're gunna be alright.

[Hayato smiled back]

You said you trust me right? I promise, we're gunna be alright.

[he laughs]

I'll probably be freezin' my nuts off by the end of the week though.

[There were two odd things about this. For one the mentioning of trust. It was true, so very true, but it felt weird to hear it. What felt even weirder though was to have someone else try and reassure him about the future.]

If you catch anything worse than a cold it won't count as alright anymore, so better stay well.

[~~Except if you want this person over here to play nurse...~~]

[He laughs]

Alright, I'll be sure not to get anything worse than a cold. Just make sure you get your ass on a boat when this thing starts sinkin'. I don't want to have to go swimmin' for ya.

[He can forgive your vulgarity, but sometimes... ]

[He actually gets a kick out of that... it felt so good to have last weeks events cleared up. Really good.]

[Ryuutaro feels the same. Titanic or not, the tenseness and unfamiliarity that had found it's way between them seemed to have vanished again. To just talk to casually... It was very relaxing.
