Fate 19 -◘[Private Voice Message] Fear is only in our minds, but it's taking over all
[Voice / Private to Hayato Gokudera / Hackable]
.... H-hayato?
[For a short moment Ryuutaro says nothing anymore, concentrating on calming himself down]
Can I stay with you for a little while? S-someone from my world arrived and I... I don't wish to be anywhere near him. He's... We did talk about people from the past that you don't want to meet again, didn't we? He's... exactly that.
He's... exactly that.
no subject
Where are you? I'll come get you, alright?
no subject
[Where he
most likelyended up while getting away from Reiji with elegance... or something][voice] -> [in person]
[As much as that's possible anyway]
And don't worry about a thing. Nothin' is gonna happen to you, alright?
[And Hayato takes off down the halls heading towards the dining hall in a sprint, pushing people out of his way without really giving much of a shit, he rounds a corner a bit too fast and low and behold- he runs smack into Ryuutaro]
[in person]
The fortune-teller laughs a bit, though it's unsure]
Thank you for coming so fast. You wouldn't have needed to rush like that though...
[He's still happy about it. So glad.]
Re: [in person]
I'm glad you're alright.
[And he puts that heavy comforting hand on Ryuutaro's shoulder, silently reassuring him that he was going to look out for him.]
[in person]
I didn't say it was an emergency... I just don't desire to be alone too much.
[He looks down a bit]
Of all the people the Author could bring in....
Re: [in person]
[Hayato's grip on his friends shoulder tightened for a moment, as he started walking down the halls. He was sure to scan over crowds for anyone that seemed out of place. Someone he didn't recognize, that had to be part of the manor. He's also keeping a close watch on any doors and windows. As Tsuna had once put it "he's way too good at this."]
So who is this guy?
[in person]
[Describing him was easier than actually saying anything about his connection to the other]
And he... Did I ever tell you about the Dark Nebula?
Re: [in person]
[He leads Ryuutaro into the dining hall. It was typically easier to hide in a crowd... and every good Italian consoles friends with food. It's biological.]
Name doesn't sound familiar.
[in person]
[And back to the more uncomfortable subject. Dark Nebula. But Hayato couldn't blame him for it, could he? He was a part of the mafia! And if wasn't as if Ryuutaro had done anything really wrong...]
The Dark Nebula is an organization from my world... I think the ultimate goal is world domination...
...I was... a member for a while.
Re: [in person]
...
[An organization? That Ryuutaro was a part of? That made just about no sense at all. Ryuutaro ran away from home to get away from his father's organization. He lived alone, so he didn't have to work with people... and now he was acting so... unsure. Usually Hayato didn't take kindly to kids, but Ryuutaro held himself as someone much older. Now though... he looked so small... like a kid. Naturally he didn't like it... it was beginning to remind him of prison week. Ryuutaro was just not allowed to look small.
Hayato holds out the fruit in his hands, an apple and an orange so Ryuutaro could pick one. Hopefully eating something would make this easier somehow?]
How the hell did they sucker you in? You're not exactly... an organization kind of person...
[in person]
No. No, I'm not.
[He smiles a bit]
It was a strange set of circumstances, involving a fight against our world's most feared blader which I happened to lose. They didn't force me, but...
[Ryuutaro trails off, looking away for the tiniest moment. You don't disobey Ryuuga. You don't miss out on a chance to survive apocalypse. You don't miss out on a chance to be on the stronger side]
Later I found out just how cruel they actually were.
Re: [in person]
[And he's just going to place that nice tasty apple in front of you, while he starts in on his orange. "No" is not an option.]
So what's this Reiji kid got to do with this?
[in person]
[Starting out on the easy commonly-known facts - not that anybody had ever seen or heard of Reiji before Battle Bladers]
There was a tournament in my world to determine the best blader of Japan. In the second round [Look, look, he's in that big tournament and he's got to ... second round. Which is farther than first!] I had to encounter a certain Hagane Ginga.
He's... the only person I've ever known to completely turn fate around. I knew I was going to lose against him.
[But he tried, god knows he tried, even fighting with moves he himself considered unfair. All to save himself.]
... the Dark Nebula doesn't like losers.
[And another pause]
They use them as some kind of ... f-food for the stronger bladers.
Re: [in person]
[Shit, no wonder he was freaking out so bad. Ryuutaro was someone's food?! He can't even FATHOM the physics behind this... nor does he want to. Really, CANNIBALISM!? Well needless to say, Gokudera looks about a thousand times more worried.]
W-what? But you're alright, right? Erm... well obviously, you're right here. I-I mean there's, like, there's not lasting effects and stuff right?
...how the hell were you food?!
[in person] [1/3?]
[in person]
[Oh. Well.]
[He was just not going to imagine being eaten by Reiji now]
[in person] No actually this is [3/4]
[in person]
[Okay, back to seriousness]
The other's got their energy taken by Ryuuga, who made it quick but hurt them a lot.
I was the last one. I'm not sure why, but I was assigned to Mizuchi.
[1/2] [in person]
[GUESS WHO FEELS LIKE AN IDIOOOOT~]
[2/2] [in person]
Ryuutaro, what did he do?
[in person]
M-mizuchi is a sadist.. He likes seeing people break down slowly.
Eventually he broke Pisces.
And then they locked me away.
[... does his behaviour in prison week make more sense now?]
Re: [in person]
Hey.
[He spoke softly, and leaned forward to place his hands on Ryuutaro's shoulders reassuringly. His face is stern and serious.]
If I catch him comin' anywhere near you, I'll blow him into so many pieces it'll take them a hundred years just to find one.
[in person]
Thank you....
[Ryuutaro might not like showing his weakness to Hayato in order to get protection, but this just felt good, a bit safer than dealing with everything alone. In a world like this, it wasn't so bad to have somebody to trust]
Re: [in person]
Anytime.
[And there's Hayato, putting that apple in Ryuutaro's hand... because that is what Italians do. They feed you.]
Now eat somethin'. You skip out on meals when you're stressed out.
[Yeah he started picking up on that little habit that they both seem to share. And he peels his orange, enjoying the smell]
[in person]
escapehelping it. The boy takes a little bite]It's a natural reaction though, isn't it?
Re: [in person]
It's different for different people I guess. I end up puking my guts out until I get over it.
[He takes a bite from his orange]
But that's just 'cause my stomach is messed up... didn't used to be this bad though. Not since I came here.
[in person]
So instead of instantly replying he continues eating. Your mission is fulfilled, Hayato.]
Isn't there any kind of medication that would work against it?
Re: [in person]
[He's glad to see Ryuutaro eating, and seems to be pretty comfortable himself]
It's just a matter of eatin' really light and hoping it stays.
[He chuckles and looks off to the side awkwardly]
Hopefully bein' on a boat won't make anything worse then it's been the past month. You have no idea what I wouldn't give to eat some real food right now... and have it stay down
[in person] This be me, getting to this thread very belatedly...
Are you sensitive to being on boats?
[... 'past month' doesn't leave his head, but he can't bring himself to ask anything actually relevant]
Re: [in person] Hello you~ welcome back to this thread XD
[He sighs and leans his elbow on the table, and his head on his hand.]
But at this point I wouldn't be surprised. My system's been kickin' back saltines and gingerale, it seems to be easin' up though. I was able to eat something yesterday.
[in person]
Then I hereby sincerely voice my hope that you'll continue being able to eat.
Re: [in person]
Jeez, you make it sound like I'm the Pope just come down with the plague.
[He laughs again]
It's nothin' you need to worry about, really.
[in person]
I'm only repaying the amount of worry you seem to have for me.
Re: [in person]
He just couldn't wrap his brain around it.
He looks off to the side and becomes rather awkward and fidgety]
I'll be fine. Y-you really don't have to worry about me...
[in person]
Who said I had to?
[Even though admittedly he couldn't just stop, even if he wanted to. Buuut that could very well remain unspoken]
Re: [in person]
[And this just goes completely over his scope of understanding.]
W-why would you want to?
[in person]
What reasons would I have against it?
[... nope, that wasn't really a reply.]
Re: [in person]
Should I list the reasons? Where do you want me to start?
[in person]
You don't have to.
Why can't you just accept it as it is?
Re: [in person]
[He looks off to the side and shrugs a bit]
I don't really get why anyone would worry about me...
[If his own family didn't worry about him living on the streets, why would anyone else? He was a thug, usually had whatever he got coming, and he was used to dealing with MUCH worse. So why?]
[in person]
There are quite a lot of reasons, which you should know, saving me the breath to go into detail.
[... he's not saying the friend-thing again. Or the trust-thing. Or the other nice stuff that went between the lines.]
Re: [in person]
and that irritation, however mild, could probably be seen as the teen runs a hand through his hair and looks off to the side again.
He remembered Ryuutaro stating their friendship, and speaking the words 'you're the first person I ever fully trusted'... even after he had told him that he was worthless... that he was a scumbag. Ryuutaro didn't know the things he had done. Those words would be empty if he knew... because if he told him the kind of person he had been back in Italy, he felt as though he would break that trust. Which would make this friendship something of a farce...
... but he still didn't want to lose his friend, if that wasn't made clear by the previous week. Everything was just so jumbled up it made his head hurt... and his stomach. He tries to shake himself out of his current train of thought.]
I just don't get why....
[in person]
All he knew about being close to people was what he'd learned from Ginga, what he'd seen when Ginga was with his friends... It had seemed so very, very simple.
Ryuutaro had a feeling that fate picked about the most complicated person it could to make him get close to.
Ryuutaro closes his fan slowly, not sure how he should actually reply to this. He doesn't understand it either after all. And really...]
Nor do I understand you sometimes.
[... truth week may be over, but this is just so frustrating...]
Re: [in person]
...
That had to be it. Hayato was good at protecting people. It was his job after all. Ryuutaro trusted Hayato to keep him safe. That made sense.
After a few moment the confused expression fades into something more neutral, now that he feels he has a better handle on their friendship. He chuckles a bit, awkwardly]
I didn't know I was that complicated.
[in person]
[Smiiiiile. Because, seriously, you are. Especially for someone like Ryuutaro from a world like the Beyblade world.]
