Mary Winchester | 11 | [Action/Video]
[Mary was more than ready for a normal (or semi normal) day. Seeing that there was no need to worry for anyone here and the boys were enjoying themselves...she decided to actually go and enjoy herself for a change. Especially after the last plot, she was pleased to see that there was actual food here. After a day of shopping, dancing, and general sight seeing, she was ready to relax at a local pub for a bit. Setting up at a table out of the way, Mary was enjoying some chicken, bread pudding...and you guessed it. Beer. It may not have been a relaxing tea or white wine, but she could hold her own as far as alcohol went.
Raising her hand to get the bartenders attention, she motioned to her empty mug, her voice carrying over the noise in the pub.]
Another.
[Waiting on her beer, she was already planning what else she'd be doing...perhaps she'd just turn in and relax in her room after this. Well, that was the plan if nothing more interesting came along.
She still hadn't noticed the feed was on and even if she did...she probably wouldn't care. She was having fun for the first time in what felt like ages and she wouldn't let anyone ruin it for her.]

[Their father after she was killed was proof enough of that. Turning back to the bar, she scratched the wood lightly.]
It's because of that they didn't have a decent childhood. I'm trying to make up for it though, I'm not sure how I'll ever do it...but I'm trying.

[Katherine nods, that seems like the sort of thing that is nice.]
I didn't meet my uncle until I was fifteen, but he still changed my life. So much for the better.

At least you were still young. [Glancing over at the girl, she decided to take this opportunity.] Did you talk to your uncle? About your past I mean; or did you try to keep it all hidden?

[He certainly knew that Katherine had been managing the estate for her mother for as long as she could, and her family's relative poverty had been his fault, his and his constant lawsuit against Katherine's mother.]
It was merely expected that I would marry for the family, and marry rich and if I was lucky the man I married would also be a decent person. He stopped me from having to do that.
[Her uncle...would have been a worse parent than her mother was, if anything he was even more self-obsessed and unstable. He just also hated the idea of marriage for the good of other people more and had strange ideas of what it was permitted for a girl to do. Coming into her life when he had, he'd given her options she didn't know she had.]
He gave me the ability to protect my friends, and for that I'm grateful.
