[Naoto had been pondering something for the past few days, the fact that it had been quiet was odd enough, but that wasn't what got her really thinking. Staring at the Blackberry she kept her game face on, one that was rather serious, calm and if anything as serious as one can get.]

It has been brought to my attention from someone that, yes this may be a kidnapping by a teenage girl, but I'm curious to know one thing. Why were we targeted? Why out of millions, possible billions of people were we chosen to be here.

[She hadn't changed expression once as she glanced down at a notebook that was held lightly in her hands.]

In most investigations I've been involved in over my years, I've seen various connections between a case and the victims. There is always a connection in one way or another, no matter how small.

[She gripped her note book slightly before flipping a page full of various notes she had taken.]

I'm voicing this to see if anyone thinks they have found that connection between all of us. I'd appreciate it if you let me know, thank you.

[She smiles slightly, happy with what she has said.]

As to the person who mentioned this, I am thankful. Maybe we can finally figure out more than we could have before.

Kidnapping, huh? Have you decided to ask the entire place what they think of this crappy service in not-so-Disney World slash Zombieland? If so, I'll tell you this; I was in prison following a botched trial of mishandled evidence. Traumatic you ask? Hell yes it was.

I haven't, but I'm pretty sure the answer would be the same as my own.

Are you sure about that? Not everyone goes through the same situations in order to be placed in some strange land with no idea how they got there other than with the logical conclusion of a kidnapping somewhere.

Still, it's curious how you came up with this. Did you get the idea from someone or is it mostly situational?

[Of his times as an undercover cop, he's not much for getting his picture taken or having cameras on him. He hasn't realized yet that his "walkie-talkie" is also a camera phone.]

Man, whoever took us has some pretty high tech stuff.

Someone I spoke to gave me the idea, I thought that as a detective back home, I should at least mention it and hope for the best.

As for the kidnappings it's rather odd the way they go about. There is a pattern to when new people appear, but that isn't a connection that connects us all. It has to be something big, but I can't put my finger on it.

Hm, you got a point there. Still, finding that connection is like finding a needle in a haystack. My guess would be we're good looking but that's a shot in the dark.

[Yep, he's grinning and it's showing in his voice. It's a sarcastic poke but a poke nonetheless.]

I don't think that would be a good enough connection. If it were true, it would questions the authors motives.

[You could practically hear his eyes roll.]

I know that. Look, whoever owns this place has their reasons. For now, I'm not going to bash my head against a brick wall to try to figure it out. The answer, if there's any, will come to us.

Of course, but I have to always keep an eye out just in case people miss it. I assume you understand that there are many things that happen here, we need people to be able to keep calm in those situations.

Yeah, I know that. Try telling that to someone that firmly believes that they are right one hundred percent of the time. It's the stubborn ones that fail the inner strength check and it's those guys that bring others down. If there's a chance to convince a few to "go with the flow", our chances of survival are multiplied.

I can... understand that. It's not easy to convince people otherwise, but if you always have that feeling that it isn't right, it's best to prove it. Although I don't think going with the flow would be such a good idea.

Yeah...

[There's a momentary pause before he continues.]
