Teru Mikami ~21~ Reversal [Accidental Video -> Voice / In Person]
[This boy looks a lot like the local prosecutor. Just that he is fifteen and... crying. Nobody here has ever seen Mikami cry before. It's not so much crying as just tears running down his face. There is no sound like a sob though, as he looks up and around, recognizing that this isn't his mother's funeral anymore. He stares in shock, his eyes widen and then he takes his glasses up and wipes away the tears.
Another moment passes and then he notices the Blackberry and the fact that it's recording. Quickly he works his way through the buttons, changing to voice]
E-excuse me? Is this... can anybody here me? Where am I?

The boy stumbles down the last very steps, almost completely out of breath. Then... there's someone else there. He was wearing the same kind of clothes that the people from back in the room wore... so he must be here to fix his eye.
Mukuro doesn't really want to go back though, even if he knows he won't have much of a choice. So he just stands there on pale wobbly legs, looking up at Mikami. He's got a few bandages here and there but the most noticeable is the one over this eye, a yellow liquid has stared to saturate it.]

He leans down a bit]
... what happened to you?
no subject
so... why was he asking him a question like that? Maybe he was new? Well, maybe he could fix the eye... it was... really hurting.
So he reaches up and pulls off the bandage revealing a stitched-in eye. However there's something very wrong with it. the pupil is extremely dilated and clouded over so that it just looks yellow, with the exception of a kanji numeral six prominently displayed on the pale eye.To make it worse the eye does not look up or move with Mukuro's blue eye, but it just seems to perpetually look down as though the eye had lost connection with the muscle that allowed it to move.]
no subject
... what... who did...
[Teru feels nauseous. This is too much for him, but he bites his teeth together. This child needed help so badly, he had to give it. Somehow. Even if he has no idea what to do]
You need new bandages... and maybe it should be cooled a bit.
no subject
He looks up to Mikami and just points to the eye, trying to tell him to take it out. The child isn't showing any sign that he's in pain however. His face is unusually blank despite the sure agony he must be in. It was something he was used to.]
no subject
He looks around for any kind of emergency room, but he just doesn't know this place. And he can't help being scared.]
Do you... know where we can find some sort of first aid kit?
[How odd it was to ask this child. But what should he do? He was alone, here was nobody... and Mikami found himself unable to think straight. And unusual and horrible feeling]
no subject
He didn't want to have to do this, but the eye felt like it was burning.... and it would probably hurt less if he just took it out himself. So while the other boy is looking around in a panic, Mukuro just reaches into the socket with his first three fingers, and with a little work pulls the faulty eye out. The almost yellow-tinged liquid spills down his cheek and onto his white shirt, but he quickly wipes it away with his free hand, and closes the eyelid to the now empty socket.
The people in the white coats would probably be angry with him... but they should have been there to take it out in the first place. He let out a little sigh, and seems to relax a bit. It still hurt horribly... but not as bad as before. Now what to do with his eye? He looked down at it, then up at Mikami expectantly. He was a grown-up. He should know.]
no subject
He leans against the wall for support. This wasn't right, he should be the stronger. He was older, he was unharmed... he should... be able to help.
But somehow this boy seemed fine. Was this a nightmare? How could all this happen?]
Why did you do that?
[But he seemed better now. This was just crazy!]
...does it hurt a lot?
no subject
At Mikami's other question he simply nodded. It did hurt. More than he could put into words- but it always hurt. He couldn't really imagine not being in pain. Hurting less was about as good as he could hope for, and taking out the eye definitely made it hurt less and that was good.
He looked down at the eye again... unsure of what he should do with it. The men in the white coats would want it... but he just wanted to drop it on the floor and step on it. He knew if he did that though that the men would give him the same eye again. At least if they made a new one there was a possibility it would hurt less. He resigns to keeping the eye and puts it in his pocket.]
no subject
Do you want me to try and bandage it then? Maybe we can find some painkillers, too.
[He needed to do something for this child or he'd go insane]
no subject
Mukuro nods and takes Mikami's hand, ready to be lead where ever this boy planned to take him.]
no subject
Bad thing though? He had no idea where to go. For a while he tried to look certain as he looked around, but then -more by accident (it just controlled his life) than anything else- he found the med-lab.
It seemed terribly big and the fact that it was empty made it seem only creepier, but he walked straight inside, guiding Mukuro do a bed]
Sit down here, alright? I'll see if I can find something to treat you.

I can't tell you where you are, but you aren't alone.
Video
I'm afraid I don't understand... Sudden changes of location like this shouldn't be possible.
Video
It shouldn't be possible, but nonetheless it's a reality we have to accept. Especially since clinging to any kind of hope that we're stuck in a nightmare might only be to our detriment.
[That calm tone he's taking on may have more to do with an issue of pride than any genuine sense of inner zen.]
Besides, it's rude to assume that you're only a figment of my imagination, isn't it? [A segue into a smile, and then a quick transition.] So what's your name?
Video
My name is Teru Mikami.
[But saying his name is easy. Teru watches Light carefully, scanning him for what kind of a person he might be. It had become just such a habit with him. And he'd gotten quite good at figuring the unrighteous ones out. The way they walked and talked... he could tell them by that.
But this boy seemed alright.]
And I'm sure I exist, but it would be possible for me to imagine you up, too. But you're right, assuming such things doesn't get us anywhere and isn't exactly polite. This all feels real after all.
[Ugh. And that was pretty much terrifying, but even though he seems nervous, he doesn't outright show any fear]
Video
[Light trails off, evidently pondering this silently. But it's as Light thought, the boy is Japanese after all. Though, now that they've been talking for a little longer, Light realizes Mikami is a little older than what he had first assumed. Silent mental correction made, a routine pleasantry follows easily. He's done it all his life.]
It's nice to meet you. [A slight, polite inclination of his head. Awkward as that gesture is over the phone, it's a familiar one. Presumably for the both of them.] My name is Light. Light Yagami.
What do you think is going on?
Video
[Mikami bows his head as well, only a tiny bit deeper than Light did, because he's the older one as it seems. Fullfilling this routine of ettiquette feels good. Teru needs all familiarity he can get to cling to.]
I'm not sure... One moment I was at... [He pauses] I was somewhere else and then I my location just changed. It doesn't make any sense.
Are you in a similar situation?
Video
Something like that. The last thing I remember is sleeping in my bedroom. It's.. a little strange actually, the room I woke up in, isn't so different from my room back home in Tokyo. The implications of that...
[A slight frown. Stalker seems to be one likely explanation, but it's unsettling. Even his clothes are here.]
Anyway, I'm guessing that isn't exactly what happened to you?
Video
And I didn't sleep before I got here. I just disappeared from the graveyard...
[He looks down on the ground. It's still so hard to believe for him. To be here. But then again, maybe not believing in it would be the right thing. There was no way this was reality after all]
Video
...I'm sorry for your loss.
[He isn't sure what else to say. Pleasantries are a nice fall back if only for that reason. But this time it is sincere.]
Video
No, it's fine.
Video
[If "it's fine" is an indication that Mikami wants to end that particular talk, Light has no problems with that. Light himself isn't comfortable with such a conversation. Especially with a stranger. But the apologetic expression on Light's face lingers for a few more moments before he speaks again.]
You said that the room could have been designed for you? You're interested in law?
Video
Yes, I am. I aim to be a prosecutor when I'm done with school and university.
