Cup 010: Iroh [Video]
[The shot is of Iroh, looking completely relaxed, in some small and cozy-looking cafe. The seats are wood and red cushions, the walls wood paneling with paintings hanging from them. Iroh has a veritable buffet of food before him: pastries and croissants, pies both fruit and meat, cups of soup, breads, one platter of cheese and another of meat. Right in front of him is a silver coffee pot and a cup of steaming coffee, next to another cup full of tea. A wine bottle in the corner of the table finishes the display.]
You know, people here have said that this city...Paris...has the finest food in the world. I'm inclined to agree.
[He inhales deeply, clearly pleased with his great spread of food.]
What is it they say here? Bone apeteet?
[He smiles and nibbles a wedge of cheese.]
I'm willing to share, if anyone else is hungry.

He entered the bistro and closed his eyes. The aroma of pastries, fruits, meats and cheeses definitely made his stomach happy and found his way to Iroh's table.]
Ah, Uncle Iroh. Good to see you again, mate. It's been a while since we last spoke.
[He didn't know what to do with the credit card so the money in his pocket was certainly a welcome change than being flat broke.]
Re: [In Person]
And you, Captain Jack. Please, sit. Eat. [He gestures to the chair across from him.] There's no way an old man like me can finish all this.
Not that I won't try. [He laughs.]
[In Person]
Thank you kindly. And with a robust physique you have, one can't doubt your willingness to try. Bon apetite, Monsieur.
[He lifts his glass and takes a sip, giving an approving look.]
Better than I had remembered of Paris though the women are a bit bland.
Re: [In Person]
I do try, Jack. It's good to have something to strive for.
[He honestly has paid little attention to the women. There's been food to sample.]
Really? What a pity, to find any place with boring women.
[In Person]
Ah, but the pleasures in life is just as good when the company and the food has something worth discussing, eh? It's a worry less on my head now that I know what to really look forward to.
Re: [In Person]
[He samples the pastry in his hand, and makes an appreciative noise.]
But I wouldn't say no to this food, as well.
[He lifts his little coffee cup and holds it towards Jack.]
To good food, better company, and happiness!

After hours of wandering Paris in the rain he finds his way to the cozy little cafe Iroh was in. He stumbles in soaked to the bone with an uncharacteristically large grin on his face. He removes his tailcoat and drapes it over his arm, noticing Iroh he smiles warmly.]
Ah, Bonjour Monsieur.
Re: [In person]
Greetings. You do look wet. Please, sit.
[He indicates the food before him.] Perhaps something warm to drink?
Oh, forgive me. I do not know you yet. I am Iroh.
[In person]
[He heads to the table to sit down but bows politely before he does so.]
I am Chevalier D'eon de Beaumont, it's a pleasure Monsieur Iroh.
[He gracefully serves himself a cups of Coffee and some soup as only one trained in the proper French etiquette could do]
Re: [In person]
Please, just Iroh is fine. Or Uncle, if you prefer.
I have not seen much of you before. Tell me, have you enjoyed the manor so far?
[In person]
[He takes a little sip of his coffee]
Although, I must say it is quite nice to see Paris again, although it is many years from how I knew it.
Re: [In person]
[Iroh leans back in his chair, buttered croissant in hand.]
I have never known this city. It does not exist where I come from. Yet I am quite happy here, so far. The food here is exquisite.

[Ed plops down on the floor next to him, looking up at him like an expectant dog. Don't worry, she's got a plate. She's holding it in her mouth]
Re: [In Person]
Would you like some tea as well?
[He'd offer her coffee, but she probably doesn't need it - Iroh's starting to feel jittery himself.]

[He pats his belly.]
Even though I've had a lot of practice.

Where are you exactly?
[In Person]
That sure seems like a lot for one person.
Re: [In Person]
It certainly is, though it's not a lack of trying. Please, sit. Have something.
Re: [In Person]
[So, he walks over, grabs a plate takes a couple pastries, a bowl of soup and some cheese.] The name's Kuroba Kaito by the way.
Re: [In Person]
And I am Iroh. [He inclines his head in a shallow bow. He'd bow properly, but he's sitting down and it doesn't look like he'll be standing anytime soon.]
Re: [In Person]
[And he takes a bite out of a pastry.]
