Cup 011: Iroh [Video]

[Iroh looks like he's in some store. It's hard to tell, because it's somewhat dark. Iroh looks rather winded and on high alert.]

Those creatures out there are dangerous. I don't know if anyone else has dealt with them, but they don't go down without a fight.

[The camera angle shifts. The shelves behind Iroh are filled with what looks like bricks and wheels of cheese. A natural hiding place, it is.]

If anyone's out there, find somewhere to hide. You shouldn't be out alone.

[Iroh blinks. It's not Piccolo, but he looks like him. Now who could...]

Dende? Goodness, you look so much older! What happened?

[Dende laughs nervously and rubs the back of his neck]

Well the Author apparently thought it would be better if I was an adult apparently... It's been 27 years since I was at the manor last... But more importantly, are you alright?! Where are you? I can come and help!

27 years...[It's only been a few weeks since Iroh last saw Dende.]

I'm at the fromagerie near the Hotel du Louvre. But please, don't put yourself at risk for me.

[Besides, there's plenty of cheese to eat while he waits.]

[Dende smiles/i>]

It's no trouble at all! I've grown a bit stronger since I was a child. I'll be right there!

[Dende cuts the feed and hones in on Iroh's location. It only takes him a few minutes to get there, bless flying. Very careful not to attract any unwanted attention he lands a block from the fromagerie and cautously duck inside]

Iroh? Are you in here?

[He keeps his voice hushed just in case]

[Iroh pokes his head out from behind the counter.]

Dende? How good to see you again.

[Dende smiles and quickly hops behind the counter with Iroh]

Iroh! It's been so long! Ah..well for me in any case... Are you well? You haven't gotten hurt have you?

No, I'm fine. Just a bit shaken. These creatures are everywhere.

[He smiles at Dende.] You look well. It seems your time away was good for you.

[Dende lets out a sigh of relief]

I'm glad to hear you're well.

[he laughs shyly at the remark]

It has been quite a nice time away, I must admit. Things have sorted out nicely from the events I was dealing with as a child. Though I'm not to keen on being dragged back here, I suppose it's a better alternative then having to deal with a plot like this as a child...

Indeed. [It seems that Dende is much more well-adjusted now than he was as a child, and for that Iroh is pleased.]

I for one am glad to have you back.

As bad as a place the mannor is, I will admit... it is good to see some old friends again. I thank you for watching out for me while I was younger.

[Dende's warm smile fades as he glances over the counter]

Iroh, I don't suppose you have any idea about what's going on? I was vaguely aware of people getting injured and monsters, but I arrived a bit late and I'm afraid I missed the full brunt of it.

It brought me great pleasure to do so.

From what I heard, these soul-eating creatures are wandering the streets. Some people are...weapons...and others are the meisters. I'm not quite sure what it means, but we're supposed to fight these monsters.

'weapons' and 'meisters'? Soul-eating? Oh dear that sounds bad. I can heal regular injuries... but I don't think I could do much about a damaged soul... Have you had any encounters with any of these monsters Iroh?

Just a few. I've escaped them so far, but they're so many. I don't think it's safe to go out alone.

[Dende nods in understanding]

It would be foolhardy without knowing what you're facing. Of course from what I remember there are many at the manor just headstrong enough to attempt something like that. Although just sitting in wait seems just as dangerous...

[Dende looks up at the shelves of cheese and lets out a chuckle]

Well at least we've got plenty of suplies.

That is true. But I'd rather not sit around here and wait to be found and attacked.

[In the meantime, Iroh's going to grab a wedge of brie and nibble the edge.]

True, but hopefully with the two of us we should be able to fend off our attackers long enough to make an escape.

[Dende decides to follow Iroh's lead, but rather than going for some cheese he materializes a small cup of water to sip on.]

[Iroh notices Dende's new trick.]

That is a useful ability.

[He thinks as he eats his cheese.]

Let's make a break for it. We can do it together, I'm sure. Comfortable though this place is, it won't be long before they find us.

Ah, it's called magic materialization. It's a skill unique to my people. I can create any material object so long as I know what it is.

[Dende smiles and nods]

That sounds like a good plan. Any idea of where to head next?

[Iroh shakes his head.]

Wherever everyone else is, I guess. There is strength in numbers.

Well hopefully we will fond someone eventually... I don't suppose you have seen any of these Kishin fly have you?

[if they couldn't then it may make escaping safely much more easy...]

I don't think so. Somehow, though, I wouldn't put it past them to do so.

Well that will certainly make this easier. Should we make a go for it?

[Hope you don't mind flying Iroh....]

[He rolls up his sleeves.]

I'm ready.

[Dende crouches, ready to sprint]

As am I.

[Oh he can't help but be a bit on the excited side. This is the first time he's ever gotten to do something like this! It was exhilerating! Of course he still tried to keep himself calm, he didn't want to do something foolish...but he couldn't hide the grin on his face.]

Then let's not delay.

[Iroh goes to the door and kicks it open. He looks left, then right, but sees nothing. Yet.]

Come on.

[Flames simmering around his hand, he takes off down the street.]
