[At first the feed displays only a gray colored panel. There is a light "fluff" noise, that sounds as though somebody has just flung the comforter off the bed which in fact, happens to be the case exactly.]

...What the hell? Oh- OH WHAT THE-?!

[There is a string of angry footsteps that become progressively louder. The sound of drawers being slammed open can be heard. Scuttling noises accompany them as fingers frantically grab at their contents. But all this is much less interesting than what is being displayed on the feed for a whirl of pink and white cotton comes into focus, replacing the monochromaticity of the gray ceiling. Light Yagami's face cannot be seen, save for an single instant in which he turns his head to look directly at the blinking light of the Blackberry.]

You've got to be kid-

[He stretches his hand out and the feed cuts.]

Oh, no need to apologize; doesn't matter to me either way if you've decided to be an exhibitionist.

[There is a very quiet "Tch" that comes through.]

Call it whatever you like Hakuba-san, it seems to be much less personally harmful than whatever you are up to.

Compared to tangling with serial killers, a misunderstanding with a peer is hardly what I'd call 'harmful', even if I did walk away a little the worse for wear.

[A short pause.]

...I would suggest selecting better friends, or at least friends that aren't so quick to resort to violence, but I'm sure you have no need to hear that from me.

[Snrt.] I'm not completely incautious; it's the first time I've gotten that kind of reaction, and I can say with decent certainty that it won't happen again. [Oh if only you knew who he got along with here. Who, granted, weren't as quick to violence as people assumed usually.]

[If it were anyone but Hakuba, Light would have at least tried to hide the amusement in his tone, but....]

I wouldn't say that was as hard a blow as it could've been, since apologies were accepted all around. [Sorry, Light, you don't quite get that gloat-point.]

No, I suppose not. But then again, Eros's arrows don't usually leave visible wounds. Don't tell me you caught whoever it was off guard with your intentions.

There really isn't a simple answer to that one - at least, not one that I'd discuss; I do have some sense of propriety, and it's hardly my affair alone. [He's not really ruffled, but no, he's not going to explain what happened. You can feel free to wonder! And probably draw conclusions that're worse than the reality.]

I would think that it goes without saying that mishaps in romantic endeavors usually involve more than one person. Unless, of course, this is all an elaborate cover up for a mishap in well.....a solo affair.

[Hakuba is amused enough to make it very obvious that he's WAY too good at rolling with shots taken at him.] I'm not nearly that clumsy, so you can understand why I'd prefer to avoid details - it'd be rude to be so incautious of someone else.

I can understand that. I'm sure you aren't the sort of person to dishonor the object of their affections, however misplaced those affections may be.

Well, I do try to be a gentleman. [As off as that sounds in context.]

How noble. Though if I were you, I'd consider rethinking what you consider gentlemanly behavior.
