✟ First Entry - [ In Person ]
[ Maybe it is an idiotic or stupid thing to do, but Nancy left the safety of her room. Then again, she wasn’t even sure yet if it was safe to stay in that room. Nothing made sense to her. This kidnapping wasn’t the normal kidnapping. What kind of kidnapper left a communication device to its captive? Or leave them unbound? Or leave the doors and windows unlocked.
It was probably the sleuth in her, but she found this whole situation very curious. She wanted answers.
She opened the fifth door she opened since she left her room and looked inside. It looked like a library. She stepped inside and ignored the door close behind her. Except for the public library and school library, she had never seen these many books before. Finding a volume that caught her eye, she removed it from the shelf and sat down. ]
I’ve been looking for this…
[ She tucks it under her arm to read for later. Now, she looks around wondering if there was someone to interrogate about this place. ]
Oh dear, Nancy Drew… what did you get yourself into now?

Hello there.
no subject
She gave an awkward wave and smile. She wasn't sure if he might be one of the kidnappers. ]
Hey, I was---
---would you believe looking for the way out?
no subject
I would. Everyone that's here is trying to find a way out.
no subject
What do you mean trying to find a way out? You mean... there isn't? Isn't there a door... or a window we can escape from?
no subject
no subject
I guess I knew it wouldn't be that easy...
[ She began browsing through titles on the shelves. Not sure yet what she was looking for yet. Anything really. ]
Is there anyone I can ask? You know... for more information? It would really help.
no subject
Well... There's always the Plot Bunny, I'm not sure of anyone in the manor who would know more.
no subject
[ This probably meant that she was going to have to go look for the Plot Bunny. Whatever it is. It was an odd name though. Was it a nickname? It was a strange choice of nickname, though. ]
One last question. Why are we here?
no subject
no subject
So we were brought here because someone wants to write a story?
[ She still doesn't look like she believes it. ]
You have to forgive me... but it is pretty hard to believe that.
no subject
It's fine, it's not something people can believe easily I guess.
no subject
Maybe I will just need timeto get used to it... or...
Do you have any evidence? I am not saying you are a liar... I just need something to convince me that this isn't just one bad dream.
no subject
I don't know how exactly to prove this isn't a dream, unless you have pinched yourself to try and wake up. I read that usually works.
no subject
Hello, you must be new.
no subject
When Light came to talk to her, she was suspicious at first. But after a moment, she decided that he did not look dangerous at least. So she returns his smile and gave a small wave. At the moment, she felt like the new kid in school again. But at least back then, she had Bess and George to talk to. Getting upset about this though wasn't like her. Might as well, make the most of the situation. ]
Pretty much.
What gave it away?
no subject
I didn't recognize your face. [He smiles.] I've been at the Manor for a while. My name is Light. Light Yagami. And you are?
no subject
He had probably been a little longer than her at least. If she had any luck, he could give her what she wanted to know. She turned to him, crossing her arms in front of her. ]
Nancy Drew, you can call me Nancy. It is great to meet you, Mr. Yagami. Or maybe I should call you, Light?
Do you think you can answer a few questions for me? I really hate being the new girl on the block.
no subject
no subject
Great! Light, then, but I've got to be honest. That is not a name I come across everyday.
[ She arranges the questions in her head and began with the simplest one. ]
How long have you been here?
no subject
To answer your question though, I've been here for four months now.
no subject
[ She paused at the answer. It was just too long. Four months. She couldn't stay missing for four months. That is like one semester and college was getting interesting. And her spot on the paper! ]
That is a pretty long to be here...
no subject
Ah le?
[--But his work is put on hold because there is a new face in the room that he doesn't recognize.]
no subject
When she saw Conan, her face broke into a smile. She liked kids. She squats down to his height so they could talk face to face. ]
Well, aren't you cute?
Are you lost?
[ Nancy didn't really meet a lot of kids Conan's age in nonfiction sections very often. ]
no subject
Not really, but what about you, Onesan? I haven't seen you around.
no subject
This time, she gives him an apologetic smile and stood up. She wasn't going to treat him like a kid if he did not want her to. She leans against the nearest table and answered him. ]
I just arrived earlier. But you can call me Nancy. What is your name? You must be Japanese?
Oneesan---- That is Japanese for 'older sister,' right?
no subject
Then has anyone explained this place to you yet?
no subject
[ She sighed, remembering how much she was told already. It wasn't really what she wanted to hear--- but with all the evidence telling her that it wasn't a dream and it was all too real, she had no choice but to accept it. ]
You don't happen to know how I can reach this... Plot Bunny, do you?
And what is your name? It is only fair since you know mine.
no subject
Oh! I'm Edogawa Conan, nice to meet you!
no subject
What does he look like?
no subject
...Like a bunny.
no subject
You're kidding, right? Are you serious?
no subject
But, if you'd rather talk to a detective I can probably tell Shinichi-niichan to contact you.
no subject
Is Shinichi... your older brother, then?
Impressive... he's a detective?
[ It would make her feel better to talk to this detective. Maybe he could give her clearer answers than what she got so far. ]
Where can I find...this Shinichi? Does he have a phone number?
no subject
A-ah.. Shinichi-niichan doesn't like people giving out his number- so you'll have to wait for him to contact you- he's really cautious. [Not risking Gin showing up again, thanks :|]
no subject
How about this? If he wants to find me, just leave me a message at this room number. It looks like I am going to be here for a while anyway.
He can then let me know how I can get in touch with him. It would really help a lot, Conan. I am curious by nature and I dislike not knowing what's going on.
no subject
[he holds the black berry up]
Because it'd be easier for him to just contact you on that.
no subject
Conan, how trustworthy do you think Shinichi is? I'm not really sure I trust those things yet.
But maybe I am being paranoid. This really isn't like me.
[ Smiles again. ]
I hope to hear from him ASAP, then.
no subject
They're not so bad. They have private settings and other things--but I think Author-san can access all private conversations. But No one else!
1/2
I'll just hope this is just something I can just get used to.
2/2
You know. You're really sweet you know that? How old are you?
no subject
Seven! But I'll be eight in may! [even though it's supposed to be eighteen :|a]
It's no problem onesan! I'm one of the only ones that can contact Shinichi-niichan!
(( click? :3 (http://community.livejournal.com/badfic_manor/421697.html) ))
no subject
You must be a really special boy to be trusted by him so much.
[ It felt a bit strange... that this Shinichi gave such an enormous responsibility to an eight year old. But she probably needed to meet this person first before making the right conclusions. She glances at the time and then turns apologetically to Conan. ]
I got to go. It is really great meeting you, Conan.
no subject
Appointment?
