[In person] Just a bit of sulking.
[Saguru has just wandered out of the voice actor panel. It was stupid curiosity, really, and he knew it was a bad idea, but somehow the idea of finding out what the Author THOUGHT he sounded like intrigued him.]
[He's sitting somewhere in an alcove of the foyer with a canned black tea, very clearly grumping.]
Least they could've done was get someone who spoke English...

[And as 'oddly' as you put it-]And maybe if we're lucky, more people will catch on to that; after all, we're all put in the same 'boat' as it were.

[He mulls over this a moment.]
Some folks ain't gonna like it, but seems to me if we don't wanna all wind up killin' each other, something's gotta be established.

I agree with that - and it may be about time to make another try at getting together the people who actually want to do something to make something that'll hold.
[He does sigh, remembering one of the big stumbling blocks before-] I think there may've been enough time passed since the previous attempt - there were a few that tried who were a little too reliant on getting help from the Author, and a little too bad at getting people to trust them. Still, I know of a handful of good people here who care enough to do something.

[Detective senses tingling.]
What happened there?

A small group of detectives from a couple different worlds got together, and one of them made a bargain with the Author to attempt to run a "court" in case of various crimes. What laws they were enforcing was never clearly explained, and while they were well-intentioned, there was at least one case of less criminal intent and more a new arrival misinterpreting the situation, as well as others where they'd deemed it not a case of criminal malice that'd be a further threat, yet the Author chose to enact punishments anyway. It didn't help either that of the three who were responsible for it, two had various reasons that they needed to be secretive and avoid being seen, while the third was ... [Oh, how to explain Mello.]
...A bit of a powder keg and a bit too familiar with how "PR" and "communication of rules" would be handled on the other side of the law.
It didn't help, either, that the second the Author's attention changed, any ruling they'd made would be erased as if it hadn't happened; I arrived not long before it dissolved - I couldn't even get in touch with the individual in charge, nor get a clear idea what their rules were, and there were a number of people here that weren't in it for anarchy who had no trust or respect for them. The one who'd made the bargain got sent home, and everything he'd gotten arranged disappeared, which about spelled the end of it.
I and a few others did try to organize something not long after - put out calls to get input on what people would accept, tried to get things together - but it didn't get very far; there hadn't been enough time for the disillusionment and apathy to wear off from the last attempt.
I think there may've been enough time to start trying to build something again...
[He gives a dry snort.] Although I still think I'm going to end up doing as much diplomatics as detective work, if not more.

If you need any help, Pardner, you let me know. I'd rather see things done right here than get out of hand.
[He frowns slightly.]
Spent too much of my life wranglin' with folks who ain't really interested in seeing justice handled the right way.

Thank you - there's a few others here that're in for the same thing; not always the people you'd expect at first glance, either. I think the lot of us should be able to come up with something that we can keep control of without relying on the Author's whims.
In Person
[Pause.]
Far as I'm concerned, she can keep her nose out of whatever we do, Pardner.
Re: In Person
As it is, she did enough damage last time to bury the coffin pretty well.

He said that it was quite obviously not Dean speaking - and that she was ... quite the problem. [He frowns, thinking.] And yet, there wasn't a change in the way she's handled things per se; as if it still didn't register one way or another that she was dealing with real people rather than something fictional.
In Person
She just kept arguin' that she was givin' us a break. Monsters and volcanos seem like a break to you, Pardner?
In Person
And given some things I've seen floating around fandom I've had to watch in side comments and notes on things they've written?
I imagine she still thinks of us as "fictional" and not "real" - "uncooperative figments of her imagination" or something.
In Person
[Thoughtful look.]
Not sure how to do that, but I'm sure somethin' will come to me.
