[Hayato is skulking around irritably, hands in his pockets. Currently he is walking through the dealers room. Not for any reason particularly... he's just pissed off and hopes the shiny objects with distract the army of idiots from touching him and poking him and taking pictures of him, and if he has to beat the shit of ONE MORE PERSON DRESSED LIKE... oh for fucks sake, there's one now.]

OI! Shit head where the fuck do you idiots get off dressin' like me?!

[He grabs the impersonator by the shoulder and whips him around, then grabbing him by the collar of the shirt. But as usual with this place, the dumb shit only laughs and says:

"Oh wow you're so in character! You look just like him too!"

He swore if he heard that ON MORE TIME-

"Hey Hayato! Where's you're sister! She's hot!"

He twitches irritably and turns to his imposter's friend glaring DAGGERS at her.]

Go fuck yourself.

[And he lets go of his imposter's collar with one hand so that he could flip off his friend. She just giggles and says, "Omigod! He really is in character!"

... That was it. Bitch was gunna die. He roughly shoves his imposter away, and starts to storm up to the chick rolling up his sleeves, when there's a giggle and she points behind him.

"Look she's behind you~"

Hayato could feel his heart stop, nononono not his sister, please be ANYONE but his sister! He whips around and is suddenly face-to-face with a poster of his smoking hot sister. He goes pale, and his stomach churns. It may have just been a poster but the shock of seeing the poster was enough to trigger the good old psychological trauma response he got from looking at her face. His eyes roll back and he just topples over onto the ground clutching his stomach. The cosplayers laugh and take a few pictures then go about their merry way, disregarding the fact that Hayato still hasn't gotten off the ground]

[He took a DEEP breath willing the nausea to go way before he explained]

When I was a kid... I gave piano performances... I was looked at as a prodigy... but that was because before every performance my sister made me cookies... and they were poisonous... the first time it was an accident... I played the piece all wrong. People thought it was 'contemporary', so my father had her bake the cookies before every performance.

[he sighs]

When she realized what she was doing she started using me as an experiment for her poisoned cooking... now when ever I see her face... my body just gets sick out of habit. That's... pretty pathetic huh?

[ For a moment, Misa was pretty quiet as she took in his story. Sometimes she would turn to the picture of the pretty sister and then back to Dera. ]

Yeah. It is preeee~~tty pathetic, Dera-chan.

But that is pretty scary. Imagine a sister that is doesn't mind that she might kill you.

But she really is pretty...

[ Why are the pretty ones usually scary? Ironic for Misa to say, because she also wouldn't mind killing her sister for Light. ]

[He chuckles a bit]

YEah... she's pretty scary... people close to her usually die of 'mysterious food poisoning'... like her boyfriend...

[His stomach gives a very loud unhappy gurgle. While he wasn't looking at the poster, just knowing his sisters face was there LOOMING over him was keeping him more on-edge then he would have liked]

Ngh! Sh-shit.... w-would it be alright i-if we... went somewhere else?

[ She gives an 'Eeeek' look. What kind of sister was that? Could someone that pretty really be that scary? Well, Misa seems to have forgotten that she is an example of that kind of girl. ]

Misa can't ever imagine doing that to Light.

[ Misa then nods and began helping him walk away from the poster, though she did keep looking back to look at it, thinking 'scary sister.' No wonder Dera-chan had an upset stomach every time he saw her.

When they were out of sight of the poster, she told him... ]

It's gone now. Though Misa thinks your look alike is still following you.

[He nodded, though musing to himself how such a douche like him landed such a nice girl. Well... Light's sister was really nice... and he's from a normal family... maybe he had some redeeming qualities tucked away somewhere. Not that Hayato would EVER make a point to find out what they were. Misa still deserved better. She had become something of the sister he never got to have, and to put up with him and worry the way she did meant a lot to the teen. Therefor she deserved the best, and he did not see Light as being the best... but it was Misa's choice and as long as she was happy he wasn't going to say anything.]

Bianchi is... a piece of work...

[At the mention of his imposter making a triumphant return Hayato instantly bristles, and turns to GLARE DAGGERS at them.]

That cock-sucking sunuvabitch... that fucker comes within 10 feet of me I'm gunna fucking kill him...

[ Misa wouldn't do anything to Light. Never, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't hunt the girl down and kill her herself. Misa is a jealous woman under that cute tiny package. She is one of the scary women...

[ Misa stares at the cosplayer/otaku for a while and shrugged. ]

Dera-chan, that otaku looks like a girl.

[He really had never experienced what a normal sister was... Of course his mood does a 180 again when the topic of his impersonator comes up]

[ Misa paused to think of an answer. What was her sister like? They weren't really close. She was actually the normal one. She went to school and studied, but she did go drinking sometimes.

She was the sister who wanted more than that boring life. ]

She's normal. Not really scary, but she and Misa weren't really that close. But she is a good sister and got good grades in school.

[Gokudera looks down and smiles a bit. He couldn't help but be a touch jealous to be honest.]

[Hayato looks over at the rather odd exchange and shudders. Bunch of first-class freaks, that's what they were... and coming from him, that was saying a lot...]

She is a good sister, ~~a little boring~~ but sometimes she does talk too much when she's drunk. Too honest too.

Misa had many embarrassing times with her 'nee-chan' being drunk.

[ Misa tilts her head. Now very curious. ] What is it, Dera-chan?

[ Misa gave a small uncertain smile at his warning. ]

Uh, Dera-chan, they might just kiss you for that. Are you sure it is alright to beat up a girl?

[ Hypocrite. She would beat and kill one anytime she pleased. ]

I... I was just wondering... what your family's like....

[He only had really met the Tenth's mother and that baseball idiot Yamamoto's father, neither of which could really be considered normal families. Nothing against them of course, it had sort of become his surrogate family. He was just curious about what a family was supposed to be like...]

I'm sorry I'm just being stupid...

[He looks up at the cosplayers... and if looks could kill...]

[ Misa's smile wavered a bit, remembering her family and how they died is bringing old bitter feelings back. She recovered fast and tried her best to answer his question... without sounds too angry. ]

Misa's mom and dad were really nice. I was daddy's princess and my mommy taught Misa make up.

[ She continued quietly.] Their dead now.

[Hayato looks at her, smiling as she talks about her parents. It was good the hear that she came from a good home, and not surprising, she had come out so sweet after all. Then he hears that last part. His eyes go wide in shock for a moment, before he just gives her a heartbroken look. He understood what that was like. To know that she had to go through the same pain that he had... it wasn't fair to her. He puts a hand on her shoulder. He usually DESPISED touching and being touched... but in this case, he would make an exception.]

M-Misa-chan... I'm sorry...

It's alright. It happened a year ago.

[ Trying to sound like it didn't matter. Too bad it did. ] God punished him. The person who killed them, so everything is alright now.

[Smiling sweetly now. ]

So, Misa got her revenge.

[Only a year ago? So she had grown up with them... knowing them. Was that better then not knowing them? Was being attached to someone and losing them worse then spending the rest of your life wondering what could have been?]

... It doesn't make it any easier though.

[It didn't matter. She didn't deserve something like that happening to her. He gave Misa's shoulder a little squeeze before dropping his hand]

[ Nobody knows if it is worse, but it turned Misa into a very vindictive angel. Losing those people had made her different. Changed her. Maybe they are both as bad. ]

It doesn't... but Misa has Light now.

It makes everything less painful.

[Hayato nods. That fucker better treat her right, because if he makes her cry Hayato is going to beat the mother fucking bastard into an all new lifetime.]

[ He has to. He needs her. He knows it and she knows it. If he has plans on leaving her, he won't do it yet.

She gives Dera-chan another pat on the head as 'Thank you.' But stops at the last part. ]

Did Dera-chan lose his family too? How?

[He swallows a lump in his throat and takes a deep breath. He had never told anyone this story without first being pressured into it... but Misa's story was similar... she would understand.]

I'm a bastard, and my mother was half-Japanese. My father is the head of a big Mafia family, you don't have illegitimate children in the mafia... never mind some "oriental-half breed". So they pretended I was his legal child... my mother... was allowed to see me a few times a year, but never was allowed to tell me who she was. I remember her a bit, she taught me how to play the piano. She was supposed to come to my fourth birthday. I remember practicing the piano all day so I could make her smile. My father had her killed that day. She drove off the road at an impossible point... it was written off as suicide... but she had a present in the car for me...

[he sighed]

[ She doesn't know what to say to that. She couldn't imagine her father wanting to kill her mommy. They really loved each other. Dera and Misa's stories were similar... but different. She did grow up with parents...he didn't.

[ She was asking innocently but planning to kill him when she gets the chance. ]

Dera-chan's mommy must be very good at the piano... Misa heard Dera-chan play once. It was really pretty.

[Hayato's cheeks flush a bit at the compliment, and there's a little smile as he rubs the back of his neck]

Oh... y-you heard that? Way back then? Th-thanks, I guess... I've... never really been complimented for just playing for the fun of it... and not drugged... I don't really keep up with it, it got me a lot of flack on the streets...

No reason!~ [ She tells him in a sing-song voice. It wasn't like she could really tell him that she could kill the guy for him with just his name and face.

It was going to be a challenge to find his father's face though. ]

Dera-chan is good. It is sad you don't play more...

[And he brushes the name of his father aside, he had no reason to believe it was anything more than idle curiosity ]

Y-you really think? W-well... I guess maybe I could play a bit more... I'm... really outta practice though...

[He chuckles nervously]

Then practice! Even Misa needs to practice smiling a lot so she doesn't get rusty

Misa can listen, if you want. Misa isn't really an expert but she does like music.
