It seems the Author has taken measures into her own hands in regards to my birthday what a pleasant surpri-

[Mukuro's face twitches a bit and his neck goes a bit rigid when he spots the cake, of course the culture reference is lost on him, but the prominent pineapple is not. He is WELL VERSED in the joke about his hair. He looks up towards the ceiling as if that was a direct link to the Author]

My dearest Author~ I do believe this joke has gotten rather old. You wouldn't want someone to challenge your taste in humor now would you?

[He looks down at the camera again, having regained his composure, though his smile never left his face]

If someone would like the cake please feel free to come and take it. I have no use for it.

[And he turns to leave the room, turning off the blackberry.]

He's a peculiar boy. I get the feeling he's hiding something, which I find rather perturbing. What could one so young have to hide?

[Hopefully that would be enough to get the girl to slip something more about the "detective". Although Mukuro wasn't using his "real" name either, or rather a translation of it. The name above Mukuro's head is Sessantanove, Italian for 69, as Roku(do) is 69 in old Japanese.]

Beef stew? I would offer my assistance but I'm afraid my skills in cooking are limited to the more basic Italian dishes.

Oh, you feel that too? Well, Conan is just weird maybe. He is weird, but still very cute and nice.

He tries to protect Misa, even though he is small. Isn't that sweet? He called himself Misa's bodyguard.

[ She doesn't really have a lot of information about Conan anyway. Even if she did, she'd probably be acting stupid because she is not supposed to know anything.

Misa can't read Italian unfortunately. So, just chooses to call him by the name he introduced himself with. ]

Oh! That is okay. Practice makes perfect! And, since Misa has no jobs coming up, she'll have a lot of time to practice.

Kufufufu, I suppose it's rather endearing for a child to act in such ways. Hopefully he won't bite off more then he can chew and get himself hurt.

[ Misa didn't really understand what he meant by that, but she was beginning to feel a bit of suspicion. He was a bit like her... the actor type. And she knew the type well, but she didn't let him know that. ]

Misa was a model and soon-to-be star back at home!

But, Light is here... so Misa doesn't mind being here that much. At least, now it means Misa has more time for Light!
