Mary Winchester | 05 | [In Person]
[Things seemed to be back to normal this week. No weird little animal/monsters, so sinking ship...just the manor. As though one could say the manor itself was normal...perhaps she could make it a little more normal?
She hadn't seen anyone awake yet, so perhaps she could do something for the other inhabitants while she was clinging to a sense of normalcy. Besides, with seeing young ones on her blackberry, she was sure they could do with a real breakfast, especially after being taken from their homes. Most of the adults seemed like they could cook for themselves...not that they weren't welcome, they were just more capable that the smaller inhabitants, particularly as far as making a hot meal went.
Making sure there was no one else in the kitchen, she got the necessary pots and pans, humming softly as she started cooking. An hour later, Mary was visibly happy, a bright smile across her face as she set out general breakfast foods...she may have made a little to much, but it was just too easy to forget she wasn't at home doing this.
Moving to the sink, she started cleaning the dirty pans. She was sure they would eventually clean themselves, but she couldn't just leave dirty dishes.]

LIES! HE'S MADE OF SUNSHINE AND RAINBOWS!
Turning to him, she put a hand on her waist as she leveled a stare at him. There was hardly any health value to the cans...and if she didn't permit her own sons eating such things for breakfast, there was no way she way going to permit someone his age if she could help it.]
If you want that I'll make you some fresh, but heaven help you if you open that can.
LIKE EDWARD CULLEN?!
'The hell do you care what I eat? Food's food.
[That and it was less likely to be poisoned in an unopened can... unless you were his sister....]
NO! HE'S COOLER >O
First of all, watch your language. [She didn't care where he was living, he was still a child as far as she was concerned.] Second of all, you need at least one good meal a day.
Canned ravioli isn't exactly what I'd call a healthy breakfast.
EDWARD CULLEN ON ICE.
[He looks down at his can and shrugs]
It's not goin' to kill me. I'll lived on less.
[Yeah, he's getting that can opener]
...THAT'S ACCEPTABLE.
Lived on less or not...I promise there's nothing wrong with my cooking. Dean always liked it well enough.
[She won't stop him from getting that can opener. Just endure a disapproving stare.]
no subject
Tch, I don't eat other people's cookin'.
[Unless he was with the Vongola... but that was totally different.
And yeah, opening that can now, and he grabs a fork to just eat it out of the can. Not even going to bother putting it in a bowl.]
no subject
Why not? ...if you don't mind my asking.
[Rolling her eyes as he continued with opening the can, she grabbed a bowl from the side. Walking over and setting it in front of him, she looked at him expectantly.]
Oh, for heavens sake. If you're going to eat that, at least put it in a bowl.
no subject
[He defensively moves his can away from the bowl, and just keeps eating out of it.]
It's goin' to taste the same in a can as it does in the bowl.
no subject
[But...that would certainly explain things. Not that it made things any better. Not moving, she just nudged the bowl a little closer.]
I don't care. You're not an animal, there's no reason to eat out of the can like one.
no subject
[Fuck your bowl. still munching on his shitty ravioli in a can]
Animals can't open cans and hold forks. The hell is this so damn important to you anyway? I'm not your friggin' kid.
no subject
[Take a deep breath, Mary...he's just unused to this kind of thing.]
I just don't see any reason for you to behave like a heathen when there are perfectly good bowls. If you're worried about having to wash it, don't be. I don't mind cleaning it for you.
no subject
Whatever it's fine. I'm done anyway.
[And he moves away to dump the still half-full can in the trash. Such a tetchy relationship with food... the boy could probably use some more meat on his bones there...]
no subject
Done? But you just opened it and...
[Oh dear, she was too pushy. Stepping back she took the bowl she tried to give him previously and replaced it with a bowl with a lid.]
Look...there's no reason for you to waste it. Just...put it in there and you can have it later. Okay?
[Forcing herself to turn back to the sink, she fought to keep from turning back to see what he'd do. As he said, he wasn't her kid.]
no subject
[And he dumps it, now time for his coffee!]
no subject
What's your name?
no subject
Gokudera. What's it matter?
[Mmmm coffee good.... almost putting him in a better mood... not that anyone would be able to TELL]
no subject
Sighing softly as he snarked back at her, she was steadily loosing her patience with him.]
I'm just being polite. ...My name's Mary.
no subject
Right, whatever.
[He just moves to the table to table and takes a seat, though he needs to take the dynamite out of the waistband of his pajamas and put it on the table to sit comfortably. He pulls an ashtray closer to him and lights up a cigarette. Nothing like coffee and a smoke.]
no subject
While the dynamite made her raise a brow, the cigarette was her breaking point. This kid didn't even look to be more than fifteen or sixteen at the most, he didn't need to be smoking at his age. Tossing her dishcloth onto the desk, she moved to the table and pulled the ashtray out of his reach.]
You can be rude if you want. Disrespect your elders and drink coffee if you really want to, but you will not smoke in my presence. Are we clear? Put it out.
[She'd take care of his disrespect another day.]
no subject
Go to hell, I'll smoke where I fuckin' want! It's not your business! So piss off!
[The teen scoots back a bit and the grip on his cigarette tightens in case she tried to snatch it out of his hands]
no subject
Ensuring he had no weapons that she could see, she set her hand on the dynamite, making sure her grip was tight in case he tried to take it from her.]
I is my business. I'm the adult, you're a child. I'm not going to just stand by while you ruin your health!
no subject
Alright you listen the fuck up. I'm not a fucking child, I'm a man and I can take care of my fucking self! I don't need you or anyone else to try and fucking baby me! NOW GIVE THAT BACK!
[Well Mary, if it's any consolation, in his fury he's ground the filter of his cigarette, ultimately ruining it]
no subject
You are not a man! You are nothing more than an ill-mannered child throwing a tantrum that would put my six month old to shame! [Standing to her full unimpressive height, she pulled the stick of dynamite behind her. Like hell she was giving this to him when he was fighting with her like this. That was just suicidal.]
I'm not giving this to you, not until you calm down.
Now. Either sit back down and relax or get out! [Evicting him from the kitchen was the best she could do. It wasn't like she could ground him.]
no subject
SHUT THE FUCK UP! Don't talk like you know SHIT!
[He grabs the front of her shirt and pulls her forward]
I'm not leavin' without my dynamite. I made it. It's MINE. Give it here.
no subject
Gritting her teeth when he grabbed her, she didn't want to hurt the boy. It was easy to tell he was human, he wasn't a monster. There was no reason to treat him like one.
Keeping the stick behind her, she shook her head.]
I'll give it to you when you calm down. Now, let me go and sit in that chair. Please. I don't want to hurt you...
