Mary Winchester | 14 | [Action]
[Sitting in the Parlor, Mary was mildly surprised by the decorations she saw. She'd completely forgotten about her birthday; the author apparently hadn't though. The decorations were in shades of pink and light purple, streamers and balloons littering the room. the best thing though was the white and pink cake in the middle of the room 'Happy Birthday' written in elegant letters in the middle of the cake.
She may not know the author, but she was touched that the day hadn't passed with no recognition. If she was to understand things, she wasn't even supposed to even have a twenty ninth birthday. She may not be at home, but Mary was counting her blessings that she was able to see it at all. Taking a seat by the cake, she looked around the room, simply in awe at all that was done for her. Some people may say that it wasn't much, but she hadn't even been expecting someone to know what day it was.]
This is far nicer than anything I expected today...Thank you.
[She wasn't sure if the author would even hear her, but there was no reason to be rude and not thank her for this lovely gift.]

Not until this morning.

That's fine~. [Reaching up, she patted his cheek gently.] I was actually going to save you some cake for later.
no subject
okay, thanks. Have you had breakfast yet?
no subject
No, I haven't had a chance yet. Why?

definitelyprobably relent. That, and it means that he can kind of make it up to her that he'd forgotten to get her a gift.]
Sit down, and if you touch that cake, I'll take it away. [But the grin probably counteracts any threat in that. Not that there had been, with all the mock sternness that was there.]

Still, she set back on the couch, and playfully pouted.] You mean you're going to leave me with the temptation? So mean~.
[She had an idea of what he was planning, and she actually thought it was pretty sweet. And besides, when he got back, it would be a perfect time to have a talk with him about her new roommate.] Alright~. You win.

[He rolls his eyes as he walks to the door.] I'll be back in a minute.
[And when he returns? He has a stack of pancakes for her, and syrup to go with them.]

Sitting back on the couch, she went from fidgeting with her shirt to staring at the cake. She wanted to go into the kitchen to help, but she knew that he'd probably just shoo her out again. It was easy to tell that this meant a lot to him, the least she could do was let him do it.
Sitting up again as he re-entered the room, a brow rose as she saw the pancakes. Well...that was better than what she was expecting.] I see you graduated from toast. Now, tell me that you're going to help me eat all of that.

They look wonderful~.
You didn't need to go through all of that trouble though.

Leaning forward, she took her fork and cut a piece of pancake from the stack. Thankfully, she'd have some help defeating this monster, she doubted she'd ever be able to eat all of it in one sitting without feeling like she was going to explode.]
It's good...very good actually. If I knew you could cook like this, I'd have dragged you in the kitchen sooner~.
[Though admittedly, she'd probably just have had him sit down and keep her company.]

[That was her right. She enjoyed cooking and she enjoyed talking with people, it was the best of both, especially since he was family.
And speaking of family.]
I ran into someone earlier.

[He's.... interested to see where this is going.]

Why didn't you tell me that you had a girlfriend?

You heard me. Why didn't you tell me you had a girlfriend? She seems like a lovely girl.

He...didn't? That didn't make any sense though.]
I believe her name was Bela.
no subject
Bela. [It wasn't much more than a growl. Again she was proving that letting the hounds gnaw her ankles had been a damned good idea.]
Of course she did. But I can tell you very damned honestly I would never date that bitch. [....yes, he was still holing a grudge.]
