As far as I can tell, we're in the story of some overpowered, scarcely-controlled ambient mage whose power expresses itself through writing. Worse, she's not particularly good at her craft. [Charming smile has no effect on Tris!]

I'm sure this may sound quite insane, but from all the evidence we have so far, everyone here except the talking rabbit outside has been kidnapped from their own worlds and times by some unknown teenage girl who is only aware of all of us as fictional characters; you're correct that the Blackberry connects to a communication network. The good news is that the Author is not actively malicious as far as I can tell, nor is she as bad as she could be, the bad news is she has a fondness for dramatics and is basically a small child with an ant farm.
