i mean i don't feel unsafe. maybe it's because things look so familiar. maybe i'm about to wake up! .... right?

[ And after a final, hanging pause, she places the blackberry back on the bed, accidentally pressing its keys in passing: ]

[ Sayu's surprise -- a dull shock; a mild, fermenting uneasiness -- upon waking in what looks like Light's room takes palpable form with that text message to... whoever, from whoever's (hers? I can't --) blackberry on whoever's (Light's? Something about it doesn't look right....) bed. Dreaming seems as senseless a conclusion as having truly woken up, so -- let it go. Breathe. Steady your legs. Put two feet on the floor, take steps toward the door.

Just as Sayu steels herself to get a move on, she hears a buzzing from the bed. She crosses the room in three pounding strides -- boom, boom, boom -- and nearly drops the blackberry in her fumble to find the buttons to accept the video feed.

A distraught, slightly rumpled young girl in pink pajamas comes into Conan's view. Phew! What a reassuring, friendly face. Can't say she expected to dream a grade schooler up. ]

H-hello. I -- I'm sorry! This is so rude of me, but --

[ Gulp. And then the deluge: ]

Who are you? Where am I? What's going on? Are we okay? Am I dreaming? I'm about to wake up, right? You're just a fig -- no! I mean --

[ She plops to a seat on the bed, quieter now. ]

When Light reads this text message, there's very little room for doubt in his mind as to who it is, even without the aid of audio or even more helpfully, a visual. But despite this, he's fervently hoping that he is horribly wrong; That this isn't Sayu, but the content- who else would be in a room like his, teasing him about whatever apparently embarrassing toy he had in there, and seeking him specifically?]

[Gokudera didn't usually concern himself with new arrivals... but something about this one struck him... it just sounded like a normal kid. That hit home a bit. So far everyone he had met thus far either deserved it, or were total weirdos.... of course if he had any inkling that 'Light' was actually the so called 'Bowlhead' Hayato had taken a dislike to, his opinion may have been swayed quite a bit.]

It's tough to explain exactly what's going on like this. It's hard to believe anyway but... in person would be easier.

[Light, huh? It didn't surprise Naomi at all that yet another person from her world was relocated here, but something different caught her notice this time.

It looks like I'm in your room, the person had written. It seems to be the case that most people's rooms resemble the one they had back in their own world. In that case, whoever had sent the messages either shared a room with Yagami or had a similar one. At the very least, they knew his room well enough to recognize it. A family member? Or perhaps another girlfriend from a different time period?]

[Oh hell no. Light is not alright with Mello communicating with Sayu. He never will be. The problem? Light knows Mello isn't going to be receptive to anything he has to say. No matter how differently this one and the previous one behave, this one isn't above immaturity. Their last conversation proved that much, if nothing else. He'd no doubt try to see how far Light is willing to go to protect Sayu, and he'd rather not find out. The best solution for now is to warn Sayu about Mello as soon as possible.]
